About This Pub

Ah, The Bay and Bracket, what a spot it is down in Victoria – I've got to say, it's one of those places that really pulls you in with its welcoming vibe and top-tier service. From what I've gathered from folks' chats, the staff go above and beyond, like that Scott and Layla who made a hen party unforgettable with their cheerful help and even playing the group's tunes. The food's a winner too; imagine tucking into a massive triple stack burger or messy fries, all while the chef pops over for a quick word – it's those little touches that make it feel personal. And don't get me started on the drinks; a great mix of craft beers and cocktails means there's something for every mood, whether you're settling in for live sport or just winding down. But, to keep it real, there was that one tale of woe where a group had a rough time during a Champions League final – seems the manager stepped in unpleasantly after they'd already settled in, which left a bit of a bad taste. Still, with most reviews singing its praises, it's generally a solid choice for a fun night out. If you're heading that way, I'd say give it a go, but maybe pop in on a quieter evening to avoid any potential dramas – after all, it's all about enjoying good company and a well-poured pint, isn't it?

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff here are an absolute delight – always friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home, like chatting with old mates.
  • They've got a brilliant selection of craft beers, cocktails, and hearty food options that hit the spot, especially for watching the big games or enjoying a bottomless brunch.
  • It's a fantastic spot for events and gatherings, with a lively atmosphere that's perfect for everything from hen dos to cheering on your team.
  • Tucked away in a convenient location near Westminster, it's ideal for a quick pint after work or a relaxed catch-up with friends.
Cons
  • There was that one disappointing experience where a group had a run-in with what seemed to be the manager during a busy event, which soured the vibe a bit.
  • Opening times can vary and sometimes feel a tad restricted, so it's worth double-checking if you're hoping for a late-night session.
  • While most visits are spot on, it might not suit everyone if things get hectic, as service could occasionally feel inconsistent under pressure.

Terrible experience. Choose a different pub. A large group of us went to watch the Champions League final last night. Almost an hour into being there, after having eaten and ordering multiple rounds of drinks, we were approached by who I assume to be the manager. He specifically came to ask my sisters and I for our IDs but no-one else in the group. The 3 of us are petite and have young looking faces so are quite used to being carded but it was strange for him to be asking at that point when he saw all of us come in much earlier. I gave him my South African driver’s license. One of my sister’s gave him her UK driver’s license and the other gave her South African ID card (we are dual citizens of the UK and SA). He returned with our IDs after having shone it under a blue light and told us that he could only accept the UK driver’s license and because he couldn’t verify our ages we would have to leave. Bare in mind I’m almost 30 years old! He wouldn’t accept a picture of my passport when I offered it and no amount of push back got him to budge even when the rest of our group tried to argue the point. Our entire group decided to leave with us. We still tried to challenge him in that we had never had this issue before and if that was the case he shouldn’t have let us in at all earlier. After a few minutes he threatened us by saying we could all leave or he would call the police. He became increasingly condescending and rude trying to get us out the door. We then had to find another pub so we could finish watching the game but had missed so much of it already. What a way to ruin our nice evening. The food was also bland. Don’t recommend this place at all.

The staff here were absolutely amazing!! I believe their names were Scott and Layla and we even encountered a really lovely staff member on his way out! Really made my friend’s hen a blast and catered to our every need, from great drinks to playing our own type of music! Best service I’ve received from anywhere in ages. Highly recommend

A 11-minute walk from Westminster tube station was a refreshing little breather after whatever the day threw at me. Starting from the bustling hub of Westminster—dodging tourists and that classic London hustle— I wind my way toward Victoria, catching a glimpse of the grand architecture enroute. By the time i arrived, it the venue welcomed me with open arms: bright, spacious, and buzzing with that after-work energy. Those large screens blaring sports likely added a lively hum to the place—whether it was football, rugby, or something else, they’re great for sparking chatter among the team or just giving your eyes something to drift to between sips. The food and drink setup hit that sweet spot between variety and comfort. Opting for Korean barbecue wings and fries was a smart move—there’s something satisfying about that mix of sticky, tangy sauce with a kick, clinging to crispy wings, paired with the simple, salty crunch of fries. Not gourmet, but “fine and acceptable” in the best way: reliable fuel for a good time. The bar’s lineup of craft beers and draughts probably gave you plenty to choose from—maybe a hoppy IPA or a smooth lager to wash down the spice? It is the perfect post-work spot; it’s got that laid-back appeal where you can loosen the tie (literal or metaphorical) and just enjoy. The efficient, friendly service sealed the deal—nobody wants to be waving their hand for ages when the next round’s calling.

What a lovely bar. Superb food, great choice of beers/ciders/cocktails. Great service, Scott was an absolute gent, and there's something for every mood. Chilled, sport or more upbeat. Covers all bases. We'll definitely be back

Absolutely fantastic experience! I had the triple stack burger, and my partner went for the messy fries—both were absolutely delicious and generously portioned. The chef even came out to check how we were enjoying our food, which added a lovely personal touch. He also kindly offered to pack up our leftovers, which we really appreciated. The bar staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making the whole evening even better. Highly recommend this place for great food and outstanding service!
