About This Pub
Ah, The Barrow Arms – what a hidden gem it sounds like from the buzz around it! From what I've gathered chatting through these reviews, it's got that welcoming vibe where the staff go out of their way to make you feel at ease, and the food? Well, it's spot on – big, hearty portions of things like halloumi salads, burgers, and puddings that folks are raving about as some of the best they've tried. It's clear this place knows how to deliver a proper meal that leaves you smiling, and with such high ratings, it's no wonder it's a favourite for special occasions like birthdays. On the flip side, though, drinks are on the steep side, which could put a dent in the night if you're planning a few rounds, and the menus might leave you scratching your head a bit before you order. Plus, it's a bit quiet lately with no new reviews, and it looks like it might be shut at the moment, so it'd be wise to double-check before heading over. All in all, if you're in the area and it's up and running, I'd say it's well worth a visit for a solid pub experience – just go in with your eyes open to the highs and lows!

-
The food is absolutely delicious with generous portions and beautiful presentation – think tasty burgers, ribeye steaks, and desserts like apple crumble that leave you wanting more.
-
It's got a lovely atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed evening, and even celebrities like Dave from the Hairy Bikers have popped in, which says a lot.
-
Food prices are reasonable, giving you solid value for a satisfying meal.
Cons
-
Drinks can be quite pricey, like a vodka and coke coming in at £6, which might catch you off guard.
-
The menus are a bit confusing and could do with some simplifying to make choosing easier.
-
There haven't been any recent reviews, and the place seems to be closed right now, which is a real shame given the high praise.

Polite and friendly staff, food was served promptly and the food was really tasty, I had a the halloumni and falafel salad. Food is reasonably priced. However, a single vodka and coke was £6.00? Nice atmosphere, menus are a little confusing and could be simplified. All in all worth a visit 😀
We had a wonderful evening dinner for my husband's birthday! Great 👍 dishes well presented and cooked to perfection! The 2 lovely ladies service was excellent and efficient. We even saw Dave from the Hairy Biker's dine there. This says a lot for such a gem! Thxxxx to the outstanding 3 chefs... we love 😍 the experience! Looking forward to our next trip
Probably one of the best meals I've had this year!
