About This Pub
Ah, The Artisan Bar and Grill – it's one of those spots that just warms your heart the moment you step inside. Picture this: a gorgeous old Grade 2 listed building right in the thick of Coventry, where the atmosphere is all about that cosy, quirky vibe, ideal for catching up with mates over a hearty meal. From what I've gathered from the buzz around, the food really steals the show – think succulent steaks cooked to perfection, cracking Sunday roasts, and even desserts like Baileys crème brûlée that folks rave about. The team there are an absolute delight, always on hand with a smile and top-notch service that makes you feel right at home. On the downside, it's not open every day; Mondays are a no-go for the restaurant, and the hours can wrap up earlier than you'd like, so it's worth planning your visit to avoid any letdowns. All in all, it's a solid choice for a special night out or a relaxed get-together, but keep those timings in mind if you're spontaneous like me. If you're in the area, give it a go – you won't regret it!

Cons

Being in the city centre, it can get busy and might mean sorting out parking or dealing with the hustle and bustle on peak nights.

My family came for a Mother's Day Sunday roast and everything was fabulous. The term 'best kept secret' is over-used but it's SO accurate for this beautiful place in the middle of Coventry city centre. Very charming old building, friendly attentive staff, really good quality food - surely one of the best places to eat in the city. I recommend it with no hesitation!
Took my mum here last week for her birthday and as per usual not a single complaint. By far the best steak in Coventry. Food was amazing, staff couldn't do enough for us. I must have been here 5 or 6 times and it never disappoints.
Love it here
09.03.2025 We popped into the The Artisan Bar and Grill for Sunday Lunch. Had chicken wings to start and the roast beef main. Well presented and very tasty. Attentive and polite staff. Would definitely return and recommend to anyone.
Visited for dinner with my friend and had an absolutely incredible meal. The steak was cooked to perfection, chips were to die for and the peppercorn sauce the best I’ve ever tasted- we both had the same and agreed. Following the main, we had the baileys creme brulee which was equally top quality. All food was well worth every penny and the service was also fantastic. The young blonde hostess and tall waiter were really friendly and kind. Will definitely return- thank you.
We had our staff Christmas meal here on Friday, staff were fab - very friendly and attentive, and the food was delish! Quirky, cosy old pub and decorated beautifully for Christmas!
