About This Pub
Ah, The Artichoke Inn – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem, you know? From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the staff are absolute stars, always going out of their way to make everyone feel welcome, and the food is spot on – freshly made with great flavours and nicely priced too. That garden out back is a real treat on a sunny day, ideal for families or even bringing the dog along for a relaxed afternoon. On the flip side, it's a shame about the occasional slip-ups, like meals coming out cold or taking ages to arrive, which might leave you a bit frustrated if you're in a rush. Still, with such high marks overall, I'd say it's well worth popping in if you're nearby, just maybe keep an eye on the busier times to avoid any potential letdowns. All in all, it's a solid spot for good times and a decent bevvy.

The garden gets packed on sunny days, so you might struggle to find a spot if you don't arrive early.

A day trip up from Kent today looking around the area, a lovely pub staff very welcoming & friendly . The Food was excellent & nicely presented, a lovely garden on a beautiful sunny day. We will be back on our next visit , thanks again.
Traditional family run pub, very customer focused, food is freshly prepared, not the bland microwave conveyor belt of some of the chains, always have a brilliant and regularly rotated choice of craft beers. Very nice enclosed garden, but it is very popular in the nice weather, so get there early! Highly recommended.
Wanted a Sunday lunch nearby, so glad we chose here. Food was excellent and well priced just too much. Lovely owners, great food we will be back.
I ordered ham, eggs, and chips. All food came out cold and took 45+ minutes to prepare. The chips were coated in salt and the eggs were not cooked properly and the egg white was everywhere (I nearly threw up). You should either shut down the business or hire new staff.
Been impressed with the cleanliness of it. Lovely garden, lots of sunshades tables. Welcomed dogs. The food was at an reliable price and amazing taste. The girls had so much fun. Free parking (plenty of spaces available even on a crowded day).
Will definitely recommend to families with children and to the paws owners ☺️🐶
