About This Pub
Ah, The Angus – it's one of those places that just hits the spot for a proper night out in Liverpool. From what I've gathered from the reviews and their website, it's all about that warm, inviting atmosphere where you can sink into a good chat over some quality tunes and live music. The staff really shine through; folks like Charlotte have been raved about for their courteous service and making sure everything runs smoothly, whether you're there for the bottomless brunch or just a quick pint. That brunch deal sounds like a winner – unlimited food and drinks for £35 on Saturdays and Sundays – perfect for a weekend treat. On the flip side, it's a bit frustrating that the kitchen's only open weekends, and with the current status suggesting it's closed, you might have to wait it out. Still, if you're into live sport, especially Liverpool or Everton matches, they've got the screens sorted, and the drink selection is spot on with rotating real ales and craft beers. Overall, it's a solid choice for a fun evening, but do check those opening times first to avoid any disappointment – I'd say give it a go when it's up and running, as it seems like a place that could become your new favourite haunt.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are absolutely brilliant – friendly, professional, and always ready with a smile, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
-
They've got a cracking atmosphere with live music, great conversations, and a cosy vibe that's perfect for catching up with mates or watching the big games.
-
The food is spot on, especially that bottomless brunch deal on weekends – for £35, you get a conveyor belt of tasty bites and unlimited drinks, which is brilliant value.
-
A fantastic range of drinks on offer, from real ales and craft beers to wines and spirits, with plenty of options to suit all tastes.
Cons
-
It looks like the place might be closed at the moment, which is a bit of a shame if you're planning a visit soon.
-
The kitchen's only open Friday through Sunday, so if you're after food on a weekday, you'll have to look elsewhere.
-
Opening times can seem a tad inconsistent from what I've seen, which might make it tricky to pop in spontaneously.
-
With not much buzz from recent feedback, it's hard to tell if things have stayed as lively as the older reviews suggest.

Enjoyed a quick pint at The Angus tonight, very warm bar with a good atmosphere inside. Split level, but upstairs was closed off. Pretty much every table was taken and the staff were great, service at the bar was quick. Tried the Forged stout and it was poured perfectly. Would definitely visit again.
What a lovely atmosphere. The 2 girls behind the bar were lovely and we’ve had such a great time. Looking forward to re-visiting.
