About This Pub

Ah, The Crosby Townhouse in Crosby, Liverpool – it's one of those local spots that has its charms but isn't without a few flaws, if you ask me. From the reviews, the staff really stand out; they're courteous, down-to-earth, and go the extra mile to make sure everyone has a good time, which is just what you want on a night out. I love how the live music gets everyone in the mood, and it's especially nice to hear that it's a female-led bar, making it feel safer for women, which is a big plus in my book. The drinks are reasonably priced too, so you can relax without worrying about the tab. On the flip side, though, that one review about the toilets being an absolute disgrace is a bit of a downer – nobody wants to deal with that after a few drinks! And with it only being open four days a week, it might not be the easiest place to pop into on a whim. All in all, if you're local or fancy a low-key evening with great tunes, it's worth checking out, but maybe keep your expectations in check and plan ahead for the best experience.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are absolutely fabulous and make you feel right at home, with their friendly chats and top-notch service.
  • Drinks are very reasonably priced, so you won't break the bank while enjoying a pint or a cocktail.
  • The live music is brilliant, creating a lively and enjoyable vibe that keeps everyone coming back.
  • It feels safe and secure, especially with the professional door staff who handle things smoothly and make the place welcoming for all.
Cons
  • The toilets are in a right state, which can really spoil the experience and leave a bad impression.
  • It's only open a few days a week, so you might have to plan around that and miss out if you're spontaneous.
  • With just a handful of reviews overall, it doesn't seem to be the most buzzing spot, and that one negative comment about it being a dive is a bit off-putting.

What a dive, toilets are a disgrace. Staff are pleasant. First and last time I will visit.

Favourite venue! Had an issue where I felt unsafe with another customer and the staff were fantastic, door staff were absolutely on the ball and professional throughout, helping to remove me from the situation and escorting the other person from the venue. Live music is next level, never seen quality like it outside the city centre. Atmosphere is unmatched. Highly recommend this venue over and over again.

Fantastic bar! Best bar staff I’ve come across in a long time. Door staff are down to earth and courteous, never felt safe in a venue like I do here. Particularly that it is a female led bar, as a woman this helps to make me feel safe and secure.

Been in twice now and had a great time both times. Great atmosphere, lovely live music and friendly bar staff. Especially the young red haired lady, today she made me a lovely mojito and let us taste a cocktail she’d been working on. She is a talent on the bar!
