About This Pub
Ah, The Angel Pub in Manchester – it's one of those places that feels like a proper local gem, you know? From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this warm, historic charm that makes you want to settle in for a pint. The beers are an absolute highlight; they've got a brilliant range of real ales and IPAs, and folks rave about always finding something new without it costing a fortune. Pair that with some seriously tasty food – think mouthwatering cheese and cranberry sandwiches or classic fish and chips – and you've got a recipe for a great night out. The staff sound like the real deal too, super friendly and eager to chat, which adds to that cosy feel. On the downside, though, it's looking a bit worn around the edges and could use a good spruce-up to match the modern bits popping up around it. Plus, it might be a tad quiet if you're in the mood for a lively crowd, especially mid-week or on quieter evenings. All in all, it's a solid choice for a relaxed catch-up over drinks and a bite, but it'd be even better with a bit of TLC – worth popping in if you're nearby, but keep expectations realistic.

Really delicious hot sandwich with cheese and cranberry, always great beer with decent price, absolutely amazing pub atmosphere
The selection of beers always awesome, real ales and IPAs. Always get a chance to try something new. Stuff are super friendly and welcoming. Tried the food (fish&chips, hot dog&chips) and it was delicious. Met the chef personally, really pleasant experience. Recommend to pop in 👌🏻
happy this pub started serving food again! Last time I had their soup of the day and brie cheese cranberry sandwich with pear in it. Today I also had their brie cheese and cranberry sandwich. The combination of brie and pear never fails! The chips are perfectly fried using fresh potatoes. Staff are sooo friendly. cosy and warm atmosphere. Definitely my favourite pub.
I've walked past this place many times and never felt compelled to go in . And till now .and the first thing you notice is how old this pub really is, why all around it is changing with sky high apartment , new offices , this pub as stood the test of time . It's in need of a full refurbishment. when you walk in, it's like you have gone back in time it really does have its own style . The toilets are dark walls covered in stickers & graffiti , and the fan is thick with dust , but all this said, you are greeted by friendly bar staff. And the people that go in are happy to chat to anyone who goes in . And as the day went on, it was getting busier by the minute, but good weather and a nice outdoor space helped . You will get a warm welcome in here . Will I go in again, I think so .it's doing its own thing and not trying to keep up with anyone else, so good on them . The drinks are good .and the lad & the new trainee bar member was very welcoming
This was a superb pub and i really enjoyed going there, but as you can see it was rather quite, which was normal for a Sunday evening after a very hectic Friday and Saturday. The beer selection was very good and well kept and i would defiantly go again.
