About This Pub
Ah, The Admiralty – what a gem it is, tucked away right in the hustle of Trafalgar Square. I've got to say, it's one of those places that really captures the essence of a traditional London pub, with its nautical decor and nods to the Battle of Trafalgar that make you feel like you're part of the story. The food's generally spot on; I loved tucking into their beef pie and Sunday roast, which are proper comforting and full of flavour, though I have heard a few folks mention that some dishes need a bit more seasoning to truly shine. The staff are an absolute delight – friendly, efficient, and quick to fix any little niggles, like when a pint isn't quite right. It's in such a brilliant spot for grabbing a drink after wandering around the sights, and they've got a cracking selection of ales that go down a treat. On the flip side, it's not the cheapest spot, what with being in a prime tourist area, and it does get packed, which might make it a bit lively for a quiet chat. All in all, if you're after a warm, welcoming pub experience with good vibes and decent nosh, I'd heartily recommend giving it a go – just keep an eye on those prices and maybe go midweek for a more relaxed visit.
Pros and Cons

It's in an unbeatable location right by Trafalgar Square, ideal for a pint after sightseeing or catching up with mates.
-
They've got a great selection of Fuller's cask ales and it's a solid spot for enjoying live sport or just soaking in the buzz.
Cons
-
Some dishes, like the seafood pie, can be a bit bland and might need a good dash of salt and pepper to liven them up.
-
Prices are on the higher side, which is expected in such a touristy area, but it might sting a little if you're after a budget-friendly night out.
-
It can get quite busy, especially upstairs in the restaurant, so you might find it a tad noisy or have to wait for a table.
-
Every now and then, there are minor slip-ups with drinks, though the team does handle them promptly.

The Admiralty is a really good pub with a great atmosphere. I had the beef pie, which was tasty and satisfying. My first pint was flat, but the staff handled it well and quickly replaced it with a fresh one. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this place for a nice drink and solid pub food.
Nice typical London pub.
Lots of maritime objects and suggestions within the pleasant decor creating a old time meets modern atmosphere.
Friendly, polite staff.
4 of us ate at the restaurant upstairs.
Very busy but not too noisy, we could hear each other speak even though every table was full.
Staff fast to take orders but slow bringing the drinks, almost 20 minute wait and half hour wait for the food.
Food was okay, nothing special at all.
I burger, 1 quiche, 2 ceaser salads, a cocktail, a white wine 2 beers, 1 ice cream £134.
Pet hate of mine is table not getting cleaned up, asap.
Young waitresses literally stood next to the table for a good 30 minutes and didn't clean off old glasses, just looked at them and kept talking amongst themselves.
There is a service charge of 12.5%.
I'd recommend a visit here and will visit again.
Seafood pie was kind of meh; Had to add at least 5 grinds of salt & pepper before I could even taste anything. Would be great if they still did the venison leg. Now THAT was a great dish…
Great themed pub in Trafalgar aptly named the Admiralty. The staff was very friendly and nice.
Food was great but on the pricy side but that's to be expected in a super touristy area. We enjoyed the drinks a lot.
We made a reservation as a group.
We were quickly seated when we arrived and drink orders were quick to come. Service was great! The staff was knowledgeable on the items on the menu and friendly.
I took the Sunday Roast as that was why we decided to go to this specific restaurant. The food was delicious! I also ordered a sticky toffee pudding for dessert, and it was amazing!
Would definitely recommend!
