About This Pub
Ah, The Abel Heywood, it's one of those places that just warms you up from the moment you step in. I've got to say, the staff really shine here; they're helpful and chatty, always ready with a smile and a recommendation, which makes the whole experience feel personal and fun. The food is another highlight – those Sunday roasts and cocktails are spot on, offering great value and leaving you satisfied without breaking the bank. Plus, the quirky decor gives it a unique edge, like a cosy escape from the hustle of the city streets. On the downside, it's a shame the operating hours aren't more straightforward, so you might need to double-check before heading out to avoid any disappointment. And with all the buzz around it, things can get a bit lively and packed, especially if you're after a quiet pint. Overall, it's a solid choice for a night out, blending that homely feel with a touch of excitement – I'd definitely pop in if you're in Manchester and up for a good time.

What a little gem of a hotel surrounded by a concrete jungle. Close to city centre ammenites and secure parking 15 min walk away. Quirky decor and spotless. V friendly staff and willing to help in anyway they can. Breakfast value for money and downstairs bar has every drink under the sun. Will certainly be back.
We booked for mothers day there were 16 of us. The food was amazing we had Sunday roast plus the roast platters everything was served hot and it was nice and fresh.

Had a fantastic time at this place. The cocktails are great and so is the food. Harry went above and beyond to accommodate us and all the other staff were welcoming and friendly.
Would highly recommend staying here because of the customer service, location, the cosy rooms.
Absolutely lovely pub, restaurant hotel.
Friendly staff.
Above excellent service.
Real ale crafted beers. Choices were amazing.
I would and will recommend this venue to anyone. Easy to get to follow the tramlines at the side of the Arndale then turn into market Street/Turner Street.
Thanks 👍
Walking around Northern Quarter, found this great pub purely by accident. What a great find this was. Weren't sure if it was dog friendly or not at first? Even better it was.
Staff were really friendly and welcoming. Food was great really loved it. Even the school sponge at the end 😋😋
Asked for some sausages for the dog, did them no problem quite thick sausages.
Will definitely be coming back 👏👏
