About This Pub
So, I've got to say, Terrace NQ is one of those places in Manchester that just pulls you in with its energetic vibe – it's tucked away in the Northern Quarter and feels like a proper hidden gem for anyone who loves a good craft beer or a lively gig. The selection of ales and beers is spot on; I mean, you could spend ages just trying different ones, and it's clear from the reviews that it's a big draw for folks. The staff are dead helpful too, always on hand to make sure everything's alright, which gives it a welcoming feel. And that outdoor terrace is brilliant on a sunny day, offering a nice change from the indoor buzz. But, on the downside, it does get absolutely rammed sometimes, especially later on, so if you're after a quiet pint, it might not be your best bet. Those cocktail prices are a tad eye-watering as well, being in the city centre and all, and the music can vary – some nights it's brilliant, others not so much. All in all, it's a solid choice for a night out if you're up for some excitement, but just keep those potential downsides in mind to manage your expectations.

Reneu is a vibrant pub-club tucked away in the heart of Manchester’s Northern Quarter. This new venue offers an eclectic mix of alternative gigs throughout the week, making it a fresh addition to the local music scene. Occasionally, they host Sunday shows — the perfect way to round off the week with good vibes and great sound.
The aesthetic is on point, and the sound system is seriously impressive. Whether you're into dancing or just soaking up the atmosphere, Reneu delivers a top-notch experience for anyone looking to enjoy music in a unique setting.
26/04/25: Trac Brewing: Sonoma pale ale
27/11/23: one of my fav places in Northern Quarter. Always a great selection of craft ale, craft beer and cider!
21/08/23: Vault City: Blueberry & Limoncello sour and Track Brewery: Sonoma
November 2022: photo update.
September 2022: another day, another visit. This time with Archibald! Noticed the inside outside area, which we must have missed this Summer. Looks fantastic. Terrace NQ as usual has a great beer and craft ale selection. We went for Vocation; Sunset Overdrive Piña Colada sour, 5.5% and Vocation; Bread & Butter dry hopped ale, 3.9%
Extremely busy but has atmosphere open late. Cocktail prices extremely high it’s city centre so you just have to accept it. Security staff very attentive quickly attending an issued between guests!
This is a really nice welcoming bar that straddles two pedestrianised roads.
They have a really great selection on tap and the staff are very nice.
There is a good size terrace. However, I only lasted 20 minutes in the late February weather before I retreated back inside.
The bar plays great music ( jazz funk disco whilst i was there ) and seems to attract a young trendy crowd, though I didn't feel out of place or unwelcome as a 50 plus year old.
I didn't eat there, so I haven't rated the food.
Pretty nice place in the day. Can have drinks outside, inside, and on the terrace so a lot of variety for the vibe. After hours turns into a pretty busy spot. Everyone in Manchester has been terrace at least once. I think the music is very hit or miss depending on who is on but it’s always someone different so at least you won’t have 2 bad experiences in a row. Maybe slightly too busy in the evening but if you time it right it’s a pretty good night out. Queues are crazy after 11pm so get there early. Also pretty fast with service as well. If you like R&B, Hip hop, amapiano, or other cultural music terrace is probably no1 in manny and is on the less serious side clubs wise and you go casual most times.
