About This Pub

Ah, the Foundry Project – it's one of those Manchester gems tucked away in the Northern Quarter that I've heard so much about from mates, and from what I've gathered, it's got that perfect blend of relaxed vibes and energetic nights out. Picture this: you're settling into a cosy booth for a leisurely lunch or grabbing a spot outside to people-watch, with a menu that's full of tempting choices like scrumptious burgers and those irresistible small plates, all washed down with a cheeky cocktail or pint. The bottomless brunch is a real highlight, especially if you're kicking off the weekend in style, and being dog-friendly just adds to the charm – it's like they've thought of everything to make you feel at home. But, let's keep it real, it's not all smooth sailing; some visits have been marred by chaotic service, like long waits for food or drinks when it's heaving, and a few dishes haven't quite lived up to the hype. Still, with staff who can turn things around with their top-notch customer care, it's worth giving it a go if you're in the area. Overall, I'd say it's a solid spot for a good laugh with friends, as long as you go in with realistic expectations and maybe avoid peak times to dodge any potential frustrations.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The atmosphere is spot on for a fun night out in Manchester's Northern Quarter – it's quirky, cosy, and perfect for everything from a relaxed lunch to late-night cocktails.
  • They've got a cracking all-day menu with tasty options like loaded burgers, small plates, and that bottomless brunch deal, which sounds like a winner for weekend plans.
  • The staff can be absolute gems; from what I've heard, some servers go above and beyond to make your visit memorable, keeping drinks flowing and sorting out any issues.
  • It's super dog-friendly, which is brilliant if you're out with your furry mate, and they've got family-friendly events that add to the welcoming vibe.
  • With a solid 4.6 rating overall, it's clear this place has plenty of fans who keep coming back for the good times and great food.
Cons
  • Service can be a bit hit or miss – some folks have had frustrating experiences with delays in food and drinks, or even no answer when trying to call ahead.
  • It gets chaotic when it's busy, which might spoil the fun if you're after a chilled evening, as a few have mentioned things feeling disorganised.
  • Not every dish hits the mark; there are tales of odd-tasting items like avocado toast on regular bread, which could leave you a tad disappointed.
  • The early atmosphere might not always buzz as expected, especially if it's quiet, so timing your visit could make all the difference.

Absolutely Chaotic and Disappointing Experience Our group had a table booked for 6 pm tonight, but unfortunately, our evening was a complete shambles from the moment we arrived. We were running slightly late and tried to call the restaurant beforehand, but no one answered the phone. Upon arrival, it was clear the staff were overwhelmed and disorganised. There seemed to be no clear system in place, and staff members were scarce. We were informed that we had to order our food at the bar, which was inconvenient and not the service we expected. While waiting at the bar for our drinks, the situation worsened. My friend was trying to take advantage of a "two for one" offer. Despite it being only one minute past the advertised end time of the offer, and the fact that we were delayed due to the restaurant's lack of phone answering and the subsequent chaos upon arrival, the staff refused to honour the promotion. This felt incredibly unfair and showed a complete lack of customer consideration. Overall, our experience was incredibly disappointing. The lack of organisation, unavailable staff, and the inflexible and frankly unreasonable handling of the offer left a very sour taste. We will certainly not be returning and would advise others to consider alternative options.

This was such a great place for a bottomless brunch! It was a very busy Good Friday, but that staff were fab. Chibby was our server, he was so friendly, and accommodating, and most importantly kept our drinks topped up! The food was lovely too. I would definitely return.

Me and a friend came for bottomless brunch. 50 minutes in we hadn’t received our food or drinks, it was busy but obviously this was a little frustrating as brunch is on a timer. Spoke to a member of staff called Taemar.. she basically then gave us the best customer service I’ve ever received! Restarted the brunch timer and made sure we were looked after all night. Genuinely can’t say how lovely she was. Completely turned the night around! I would definitely go there again

Not the best experience in Manchester. As for the food - I had a full English breakfast, it was delicious and really filling, the girl had avocado toast, it was on regular bread and overall it tasted pretty weird. As for the serving - there are a few weird moments: the spoon they served the latte with was completely dirty (as if they mixed it up and brought it unwashed), there were two hairs in the food (one in the latte, the other in the egg with avocado toast), the table was really dirty and sticky (my plate was so stuck to the table that I couldn't move it lol). As for the staff - everyone was really nice and sweet, thank you for everything!
