About This Pub

Oh, let me tell you about Teuchters Landing – it's one of those pubs in Edinburgh that just feels like a proper gem in Leith. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the staff are genuinely lovely, always up for a chat and making sure you're looked after, which really sets the tone for a great visit. The food stands out too; it's packed with flavour and the portions are enormous, so you're getting real value for your money there. Plus, with quick service and a wide array of drinks like cracking beers and whiskies, it's easy to see why folks keep coming back. The outdoor area is a real highlight on a nice day, offering up some stunning views and a chance to soak in the atmosphere. But, to keep it real, there are a few niggles – the ordering app doesn't always play ball, which can be a bit frustrating, and things like the fish and chips might feel a tad pricey when you're budgeting for a night out. Also, if you're opting for outside seating, be prepared for the wind; it's Scotland, after all! All in all, it's a solid spot that does most things right, with that relaxed vibe making it perfect for a casual get-together, though it's worth weighing up those little downsides for a balanced experience.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
  • The food is absolutely delicious with massive portions that leave you stuffed and satisfied – perfect for a hearty meal.
  • Service is lightning fast, so you won't be twiddling your thumbs waiting for your order.
  • A fantastic selection of beers, gins, and whiskies to choose from, catering to all tastes.
  • The outdoor space is brilliant, with lovely views and plenty of room to relax on a sunny day.
  • It's got a really relaxed and chilled atmosphere, ideal for unwinding with friends or catching the rugby.
Cons
  • The app for ordering can be a bit unreliable at times, which might cause a few hiccups.
  • Prices are on the steeper side, like that £18 fish and chips, so it might hit the wallet a bit hard.
  • The outdoor area can get quite windy, so you'll want to wrap up warm if you're sitting outside.
  • There might be some doubts about how freshly everything is cooked, even if it tastes spot on.

Very good local pub with friendly staff. The food is great, tasty with huge portions, and served really quick. Lots of different rooms and big outdoor space.

Local pub with nice outside sitting areas. Wide choice of beer, gin and whisky. Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere. Vegetarian and vegan food available (portions are huge!!!). Altogether, the nicest pub we visited in Edinburgh :)

We sat at the bridge, with a nice view of the river. The food and drinks are ordered via app, which did not work at first. After the ordering worked the food got served really quick. Even quicker than the drinks. I would suggest you dress warmer when you have to sit outside as it was quite windy.

Decent fish and chips but a little costly (£18) and was ready in about 5/6 minutes. Not sure quite how freshly cooked but tasty. Lovely location in the sun

We wanted to taste the fish in Leith and we found this nice place... It looked like a good place to watch scottish rugby and have a couple of beers, but besides that, the fish is really good and fresh. We have ordered a cullen skink (a kind of fish soup with onions) that was delicious and a dish of fish and chips that amazed us. They have a outside part that remembers to little venice in London.
