About This Pub
You know, chatting about Tailors Bar and Lounge in Barrow, it's got this lovely, homely feel that really draws you in – think a great atmosphere where you can unwind with a drink or some light food. The staff are an absolute highlight; they're so helpful and make sure everything's just right, which is brilliant for anyone with dietary needs. Prices are fair, and the drinks selection, especially the gins and wines, is spot on for a casual evening. The food's presented like something out of a fancy magazine and tastes great too, but honestly, it could use a few more options to keep things interesting, as a couple of people felt it was a bit lacking. Plus, with it only being open a few days a week, it's not always easy to pop in, and the vibe is more relaxed and quiet, which suits some but might not excite those wanting a bit more buzz. Overall, it's a solid choice if you're after a cosy spot for a chinwag and a tipple, and I'd say give it a go if you're in the area – the positives definitely outweigh the niggles!
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The atmosphere is absolutely spot on – it's warm and welcoming, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed catch-up with mates.
-
Staff are brilliant and really attentive; they're hot on things like allergies and always go the extra mile to make you feel looked after.
-
They've got a cracking selection of drinks, like gins and wines, and it's all reasonably priced so you won't feel short-changed.
-
The food is a delight – beautifully presented and tasty, especially for light bites or afternoon tea, which adds a nice touch to the experience.
Cons
-
The food options could do with a bit more variety; some folks mentioned it felt a tad light on savoury items, leaving you wanting more.
-
Operating hours are quite limited, only open a few days a week, which might put a damper on spontaneous visits.
-
It can be a bit quiet and cosy, geared more towards a chilled vibe, so if you're after a lively night, it might not quite hit the mark.

Great bar with good atmosphere, barrow needs more places like it
Lovely bar in the centre of Barrow. A great selection of drinks and very reasonably priced. The staff were hot on allergies and made sure the sharing board was safe. The food was presented like a work of art and was delicious. We will definitely be returning the next time we're in Barrow.

Well we're do I start.visted for baby shower for my gransons 1st baby .we were all lady's very excited to be there to share this happy time with is partner. On arrival place looked lovely with all the tables decorated for this special day. Bar staff really nice girls. Ordered tropical fruit side think it was Willis brand tasteless flavoured water tasted better £5each .the buffet was served on circular boards looked nice to look at but not enough food to feed the people that were there £12.50 per person x cheap food very disappointed as my future granddaughter was very upset there was no food for her and I want to see we could not have 1 of each thing if we try .her mum went to bar to say were is the rest of the buffet? Someone came back with a £1 shop bag and a few more cheap sandwiches appeared with some crisps and 2 small bowls off wedges very disappointed day for her .personally I think u need to review what u use and what u charge .for what should have been a nice day for her she was let down badly .
Delicous afternoon tea however I think It needs one more savoury item as we all shared a small bowl of chips afterward to be satisfied.
Nice little bar.
Service and staff are brilliant ... never let me down all the times I've gone through the door.
The atmosphere is quiet and cosy... the clientèle are of the older generation, which isn't a bad thing for a nice chilled beer or cocktail.
It sells food here, which a friend ordered and told me it was decent.
They offer their bar for hire. Events such as baby showers etc can be held here.
The only gripe was the £8 cocktail I got was absolutely tiny...
The prices are more premium, but in all fairness, it is a nice place to have a chilled drink.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars.
