About This Pub

Oh, what a gem Table Du Marche is – tucked away in East Finchley, it's got that authentic French flair that makes you feel like you're wandering through a Parisian market, with dishes crafted from the freshest ingredients sourced from trusted locals. From the rave reviews, it's clear the food steals the show; people are raving about things like the calf liver and seabass, all prepared with real care and a signature twist that keeps it feeling special without being overly fussy. The service comes across as genuinely warm and attentive, turning a simple lunch into a memorable family affair, and the overall vibe is just cosy enough to make you linger over a glass of wine or a classic cocktail. But, to keep it real, not everything's perfect – a few have noted that the desserts can be hit or miss, with some flavours like marzipan not appealing to all tastes, so you might want to skip straight to the coffee if that's not your thing. All in all, it's a solid spot for anyone craving a taste of France in London, with its high marks showing it's doing most things right, though it's always good to plan ahead for those operating hours to ensure a seamless visit.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food is simply divine, with fresh, seasonal ingredients straight from French-inspired markets – think mouthwatering classics like escargot and boeuf Bourguignon that leave you wanting more.
  • The atmosphere is cosy and welcoming, perfect for a special occasion or a relaxed meal, making you feel right at home in the heart of East Finchley.
  • Service is spot on, with friendly staff who go the extra mile to make your visit memorable, as shared in those glowing reviews about birthdays and family lunches.
  • They've got a great selection of wines and cocktails, plus daily specials that keep things exciting and tied to what's best locally.
Cons
  • A couple of folks mentioned the desserts falling a bit flat, like ones with marzipan that didn't quite hit the mark for everyone.
  • Operating hours might be a tad confusing from what I've seen, so it's worth double-checking before you pop in, just to avoid any disappointment.

Went for a birthday meal for my mum. Absolutely wonderful experience. Friendly service, phenomenal food, cozy, busy, warm atmosphere. Honestly, my calf liver main was the best plate of food I've had in the last year. Totally divine.

Came here to help celebrate my mother’s birthday. We had a delicious lunch with all the family. The food was absolutely delicious, piping hot and the service was excellent too. Thanks for a lovely time. We will be returning again soon.

Dined at Table Du Marche as we were in the area. It was lunch, so the Prix Fix menu was offered so we ordered: Gravalax, avocado, pickled fennel, rocket, sour cream. Steamed mussels with garlic, shallots, parsley, white wine & cream Pan-fried calfs liver, caramelised onion & red wine jus, chive mashed potato Portions are big compared to other French restaurants and I found their food to be on the buttery and heavy side especially for the creamy mussel sauce and the mashed potatoes. Other than that, it was all good except the gravalax contained the grey part from the cut and some of the calf's liver was near the arteries which made it chewy.

Had a really lovely meal at Table Du Marché in Finchley. Wife had Honey roast beetroot with Roquefort cheese, walnuts and cauliflower to start while I enjoyed scallops, pancetta for starters then she had seabass and I tucked into duck breast. Finally we had a lovely apple sablé with salted caramel ice cream. Truly a gorgeous meal and served by nice friendly staff. Restaurant decor was pleasant and fairly quiet but it is a Sunday. Everything was extremely tasty and nothing was left behind. Deffo a great find and highly recommended

Came here for Lunch. They have a good prix fixe menu available for lunch. We went on a Saturday. Starters and mains were good and have a nice variety of options. The service was good. The desserts however weren’t great for me. 2 from 4 had marzipan in it which I didn’t like. But overall good value and good food
