About This Pub
Ah, Suburban Macclesfield – it's one of those places that just feels like a proper neighbourhood gem, you know? From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, folks are raving about the food, which ranges from hearty brunches to sharing plates that are full of flavour and made with fresh, seasonal ingredients. The drinks are another highlight; whether you're after a classic pint or one of their fancy cocktails, it's all done with a bit of flair that makes every sip feel special. The staff really shine too – they're attentive, cheerful, and go out of their way to make sure everyone's happy, like sorting out dietary requirements without a fuss or even helping with a surprise birthday moment. Events like live music nights and Margarita Mondays add that extra spark, turning a simple visit into something memorable. On the flip side, it does get quite popular, so you might find yourself needing to plan ahead to snag a table, and the menu isn't exhaustive for add-ons, though they're pretty accommodating about it. Overall, it's a solid choice if you're after a laid-back spot for good times and great company – I'd say give it a go if you're in the area, as it's got that welcoming charm that makes you want to come back for more.

Everything was delicious, we were looked after well by the server, and the vibe was relaxed. We also enjoyed the choice of music, which was a bonus!
This is and was a lovely place to eat. I got the blueberry pancakes with a side of bacon, just to add in some saltiness. It was delicious. There aren't actually any sides on the menu like that but they happily let me order it anyway. I also had a hot chocolate, which was very nice and quite big. My friend got the full English and she said it was nice.
They have lots and lots of drinks to order, alcoholic and non alcoholic and lots of food options on the menu. Although, none of the items on the menu actually say if they're vegetarian or vegan next to them, which is kind of annoying, but it does say that you can ask a member of staff if you have any dietary requirements.
It was quite busy when they got there and there's not tons of space, but we managed to get a table. The staff there were very welcome and kind, though I did find no one came to ask us if we wanted any food and we ended up having to ask, which confused me how we were supposed to order it, at the bar or table, as they'd come to the table to ask us for our drinks order.
Just to add, they do have toilets inside also.
I would definitely eat here again, it's a nice place for brunch.
Family friendly and tasty foods. They accommodated gluten, dairy and egg free and were very reassuring and attentive re. food allergies. They were also kind enough to hide a birthday cake and surprise our friend with it all lit up after we had eaten. Terrific service - much appreciated!
Visited a few times recently, most recently this morning for breakfast for a friends birthday. It does not disappoint....the staff are friendly and efficient....the drinks are great...the food is fabulous. The bloody mary cocktails are always on point! Great opening hours as well- it's great to be able to come in for a nice breakfast for a fair price.
Following on from a previous review I visited for breakfast with my mum. Great service and food as always but really frustrated with the "work from home" men and women taking up tables of 4 or booths having really loud business phone calls that the whole place could hear, at one point I was quite tempted to take down the phone number one was reciting to his colleagues just because it seemed he wanted everyone to have it. It was unfortunate that an elderly couple and their daughter came in to find the only space was the high bar chairs at the back which weren't suitable yet these "work from home" individuals had an entire booth and another a table for 4. I love Surburban Green, Macclesfield but you may want to suggest these people sit on certain tables and/or keep their private work meetings private so they arent spoiling it for everyone else.
I had reserved a small table for drinks on a Friday evening for myself and my partner as we had walked passed a few times and it always looks busy (in a good way) and didn't want to risk standing room only. The staff on the phone were super helpful and had a great time slot for us.
We had a few drinks over the course of the time there with my partner trying the Marlborough Sauvignon and I had a few of the draft craft beers. Everything was served perfectly and the prices were on par with the other nice bars in the area. While there we watched a lot of cocktails being made and served all of which looked mega. We weren't visiting for food so can't really comment but the menu looked good and I'll definitely be back at some point to try a few dishes!
