About This Pub
Ah, Steam in Bristol – what a gem it is for a casual pint or a full-on celebration. From the moment you step in, the staff really shine; they're warm, efficient, and make you feel like you're among friends, whether you're booking a table or hosting a party. The pizzas are spot on – think tasty, not-over-the-top slices that pair perfectly with their excellent range of local beers and ciders. And that terrace? It's a proper treat, all covered and heated, so you can enjoy the fresh air without worrying about the weather. They've nailed the bottomless brunches too, with drinks flowing freely and a buzzing atmosphere that's just right for a weekend wind-down. On the downside, though, some of the decor feels a tad stuck in the past, like the quirky art in the toilets that might not appeal to everyone. Plus, it does get heaving at times, so you might have to queue a bit, and remember to turn up on time or risk losing your spot. All in all, it's a solid spot for good food, drinks, and laughs, but it's worth keeping those little niggles in mind for the full picture.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are absolutely brilliant, always going above and beyond to make your visit special – like how Natasha made events feel so welcoming and efficient.
-
The food is a real highlight, with delicious pizzas and bottomless brunches that keep the good times flowing and leave you wanting more.
-
It's got one of the best outdoor terraces in Bristol, covered and heated, making it perfect for soaking up the sun or enjoying a cosy evening.
-
A fantastic selection of beers and ciders, including local brews and their exclusive range, which is spot on for anyone who loves a good pint.
-
Brilliant for parties and events; you can hire spaces easily, play your own music, and decorate to your heart's content, ideal for birthdays or gatherings.
Cons
-
Some of the decor, like the art in the toilets, feels a bit outdated and not quite to everyone's taste – it might raise an eyebrow or two.
-
They only hold your table for 15 minutes if you're running late, so it's worth being punctual to avoid any hassle.
-
It can get quite busy, especially on weekends, which might mean a bit of a wait for service or finding a spot, even with all that space.

We had a birthday party in the Shebeen bar and the whole team were absolutely fantastic. We could have our own music, decorate, order pizzas. The whole process from booking onwards was easy and efficient and the staff were a total dream. Thank you!
Good pints, good pizza, good location!! usually end up going here once a week or so on my way home and can’t fault it at all the bloomin’ pizza was lovely and not ridiculously priced for vegan cheese etc -1 star for boomer art in the toilet but otherwise awesome place come check it out!
Natasha was amazing, she was so accommodating and friendly, and made the whole experience so worthwhile! The pizzas were amazing and the drinks came out so quick - we loved our bottomless brunch!
Such a good spot on the sun! Bottomless brunch was amazing, the pizza is sublime and the drinks were free flowing - Natasha was a great server, couldn't ask for anything else!
Had the best time celebrating my friends 30th birthday. Fab service from the minute we booked to the minute we left. We had the cocktail brunch which was absolutely brilliant, food was amazing and drinks kept flowing. Natasha served us ALL NIGHT (bless her) her service was above and beyond and was so friendly. I would highly recommend this place. Thank you :)
