About This Pub
Ah, St Margarets Tavern, what a lovely little find in Twickenham – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper community hub, especially if you're a fan of catching the big games on the telly. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the food's a real highlight; folks are going on about the hearty dishes like steak and ale pie and those Sunday roasts that hit the spot just right, and the service is warm and attentive, with staff who make you feel like a regular from the get-go. It's got that family and dog-friendly charm, a nice beer garden for when the weather's playing ball, and even easy parking, which is a godsend these days. Prices are fair too, not breaking the bank like some spots in Richmond. On the flip side, it's not perfect – there've been a few niggles, like a veg side not being cooked as promised, and while most are chuffed, some might find the offerings a tad ordinary if you're after something fancy. All in all, it's a solid choice for a pint and a bite; I'd say give it a go if you're in the area, especially for match days – you'll likely leave with a smile, just like those who've been coming back for years.

It's a brilliant spot for watching live sports, with Sky Sports and TNT Sports screens, especially for events like the Women's Euros.

Family-friendly and dog-friendly vibes, plus they've got a charming beer garden that's perfect on a sunny day.
-
Easy parking and reasonable prices compared to nearby areas, making it a hassle-free choice for a casual outing.
Cons
-
Occasionally, little things with the food don't quite match up, like a side dish not being prepared as described on the menu.
-
It might feel a bit standard in places, with some saying the food was just 'okay' rather than outstanding, though that's not the norm.

Great service. Wonderful food. Even parking was easy.
First went there 30 years ago.
Still great as I visit from Ottawa 👍
Been coming here for years. Lovely atmosphere and great food. The new chef has certainly stepped up the game. I could not fault the food whatsoever. I even went to thank him personally.
Staff are all lovely. I would highly recommend!
What a pleasant surprise to discover this gem.
Inviting deco, charming garden on a sunny day and the steak and ale pie was well made even though the cabbage was blanched but not char-grilled as written on the menu.
Prices are reasonable compared to Richmond.
First visit to Budapest and we stopped off at Margaret’s for some dinner and drinks. Served by Stella who was lovely and very attentive. Gave some local food recommendations. Food was lovely, the pink gin was delightful along with the garnish and hubby enjoyed the beer. The background music and atmosphere perfect and the setting by the river Danube at night just topped it off.
We had two mains, two sides, two beers, and a gin and lemonade - 28, 717ft (including service charge). Equivalent of £65.
Would def recommend.
This popular pub in the area is a great place to go. The food was okay, but the Sunday roast was really good. The service was excellent and attentive.
