About This Pub

Ah, Southey Brewing Co – it's one of those hidden gems in Penge that just hits the spot if you're after some top-quality local brews. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the beers are spot on, with a great selection of ales, IPAs, and even their own gin that's getting rave reviews for being so fresh and flavoursome. It's got that warm, inviting vibe where you can settle in for a chat with friends, whether you're grabbing a seat indoors or out in the fresh air. Prices are dead reasonable too, so it's easy on the wallet for a night out. On the flip side, it might take a moment to locate if you're not familiar with the area, as it's nestled in a quiet alley, and the hours can be a bit inconsistent, so it's wise to double-check before heading over. All in all, it's a brilliant choice for beer lovers looking for something authentic and community-oriented, with a nice nod to eco-friendly brewing – I'd say give it a go if you're in the neighbourhood!

One of the best places to go for a drink in Penge. If you like home brewed beer, this is the place for you. My favourite drink to have is the Lazy Jesus. You cannot go wrong with a pint of Lazy Jesus. They also have made their own spirits. Wow it is out of his world and it is made from some of the same ingredients that the beer is made out of. Such genius. Definitely a place to visit if you are in Penge.

Top spot for a few pints is this place. Tucked away in an alley in a quiet spot away from the busy high street. Nice range of interesting and tasty brews to choose from all at reasonable prices too. Worth stopping in to sample a few when you're in the area. And Penge is certainly on the way to becoming a little hot spot for craft beer enthusiasts with a handful of very decent little boozers within ambling distance of one another. Put Southey on your map.

Brewery and tap room just off Penge high street, serving beers brewed in the building next door. Eight lines on keg and one cask handpull. Seating inside and out. Beers also available in cans to take away. A Penge institution!

The Lazy Jesus is a session beer. Good to see lovely places like this flourish in Penge. Take Southey street from Penge High Street and turn right down the alleyway.
