About This Pub
Ah, Slip Inn – it's one of those pubs that just wraps you up in a lovely, homely embrace the moment you step inside. From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this fantastic open fire that really sets the scene for a cosy evening, and the staff are spot on, always smiling and making everyone feel welcome, which is just what you want after a long day. The beer comes at a fair price too, so you can enjoy a proper pint without breaking the bank, and it's clear folks appreciate the traditional charm and the chance to chat with friendly faces. On the flip side, that policy against mobile phones could put a damper on things if you're used to scrolling through your feeds, and with not much buzz lately, it might be worth checking if it's still hitting the same high notes. All in all, it's a solid choice for anyone after an authentic pub experience in Rochdale – I'd say give it a go if you're in the area, as the positives far outweigh the niggles.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The cosy atmosphere with that superb open fire makes it feel like a proper welcoming spot for a relaxing pint.
-
Friendly staff and locals who are always up for a chat, creating a real community vibe that's hard to beat.
-
Affordable drinks, like the good beer at fair prices, which keeps things accessible without skimping on quality.
Cons
-
The no-phones policy, as mentioned in one review, might feel a bit restrictive if you're someone who likes to check your phone now and then.
-
With no recent reviews in the last six months, it could be that things have changed a tad, so it might not be as buzzing as it once was.

Great cosy and friendly pub with a superb open fire. Erudite and articulate staff and patrons including some visitors from the USA. Great place
Great place to meet up with friends you have not seen for months, good beer at a fair price
One of very few Sam Smith pubs left in the area. Very welcoming, nice coal fire. Nice pint of dark mild.
This is a great little pub, very clean and cosy, especially when the fire is lit. Locals are very friendly and good beer. Only issue is Sam Smiths digital ban, but that's not the end of the world. Well worth a visit 👍
My grandad malcolm would spend alot of time at this pub before he passed away. He enjoyed it here and the environment. It was perfect and just what he enjoyed. Used to pop in and visit when I was up north and everyone was always welcoming, drinks were cheap and bar staff were always smiling :).
