About This Pub

Ah, Moonspinners – it's one of those unassuming little pubs that just hits the spot for a casual night out. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the staff are absolute gems, always ready with a smile and making everyone feel welcome, like you're popping round to a mate's house rather than a pub. The drinks are spot on and won't set you back much, which is brilliant if you're out for a few hours without wanting to watch the pennies too closely. It's kept nice and tidy, with a peaceful atmosphere that's great for a quiet chinwag or even a game of darts in the back room – nothing fancy, just proper, enjoyable pub fun. On the downside, though, they've got you forking out for WiFi, which might put a dampener on things if you're the type who likes to check in online or stream something while you're there. All in all, it's a solid choice for a budget-friendly evening, especially if you're in the Rochdale area and fancy a welcoming spot that's more about good company than high-tech frills – I'd say give it a go if you're after that classic pub experience.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Drinks are reasonably priced, which is a real treat for anyone looking to enjoy a few pints without breaking the bank.
  • It's a clean and quiet spot, perfect for a relaxed evening where you can actually chat without any loud distractions.
  • There's plenty of seating up front and a fun little area at the back with a pool table and darts, adding to the homely vibe.

Have to pay for WiFi, which makes me look for alternative places where I can have a beer and enjoy free WiFi. Just sayin'...

A quiet pub with no duke box. It has a large seating area in the front and a small pool table and darts room at the back. The drinks are reasonably priced. A decent place to go for a nice quiet pint.

Stopped off as one the of the lads couldn't hold their bladder on the long drive to Liverpool. Couldn't believe how cheap the drinks where, staff where lovely. All 4 of us had a good time. Was even tempted to bin off the sesh at Liverpool to stay in this boozer all night. 10/10. Bar staff was a bird too
