About This Pub
You know, when I think about the Sixty Six Club, it's got this warm, community feel that really stands out – it's like popping round to a mate's house for a pint. From what folks have said, the staff go above and beyond to make sure everything runs smoothly, whether you're there for a wedding reception or just catching up with friends over a game of darts. The prices at the bar are fair, and it's refreshing to see a place that's so welcoming to families, with that secure beer garden where kids can play safely. On the flip side, though, navigating to the entrance can be a bit of a faff since it's not where you'd expect, and without a website or phone number, it's not the easiest to plan a visit. Plus, with reviews not being as recent, you might wonder if the buzz has died down a touch. Overall, it's a solid choice if you're in Ilkeston and after a relaxed spot for a good time, but it'd be even better with a few more modern touches to keep things fresh.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
-
It's a brilliant spot for events like weddings or tribute acts, with lovely decorations and a welcoming atmosphere that really brings people together.
-
Bar prices are spot on – affordable enough to enjoy a few rounds without breaking the bank.
-
Family-friendly vibes with a secure beer garden and even toys for the little ones, so it's great for a relaxed day out.
-
The setup for games like darts is top-notch, feeling professional and adding a fun element for those casual get-togethers.
Cons
-
The entrance is tucked away on the side rather than the front, which might leave you scratching your head when you're trying to find the place.
-
No website or phone number listed, so it's a bit tricky to get the latest info or book ahead if you're planning something special.
-
Reviews have tailed off recently, with the most recent ones dating back a bit, which makes it hard to gauge if things are still as good as they were.
-
Operating hours are mostly in the evenings, so if you're after a spot for a lazy afternoon pint, it might not always fit the bill.

Went to watch a pink tribute act, she waa very good, great bar prices and nice staff
visited as part of the dominoes and darts team. The entrance is on the side not at the front and you walk into the main game room. Lots of seating and tables. Two TV with sports on. The darts playing area was very impressive looking extremely professional. The front bar area also had a darts board too. Very friendly staff. .modern decor. Clean toilets. Parking is on the road at the side.
