About This Pub

Ah, the Salisbury Arms in Cambridge – it's one of those places that just warms you up from the get-go. I've got to say, their craft beers are spot on, with a great range that keeps things interesting, and the stone-baked pizzas are an absolute delight, especially with options for those watching their diet. The staff are proper gems, always chatting away and making sure you're looked after, which really adds to the homely feel. It's brilliant for a casual night out, with fun events like quiz nights and deals that make it easy on the wallet, and being dog-friendly means you can bring the whole family along, four-legged included. On the flip side, it's a tad compact, so on busier evenings it might feel a bit squished, and the outdoor area, while sunny and nice, doesn't have much room if you're hoping for a spacious garden session. Still, it's a solid spot that strikes a good balance – if you're in Cambridge and fancy a pint and a bite without the fuss, this is definitely worth a visit.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • Excellent selection of craft beers that really hit the spot for beer enthusiasts
  • Scrumptious stone-baked pizzas with options like gluten-free bases, making it a treat for all sorts
  • Incredibly friendly staff who greet you with a smile and make you feel right at home
  • Dog-friendly vibe in the bar area, perfect if you're out with your furry mate
  • Lively events like quiz nights and great deals, such as 2-4-1 pizzas on Mondays, to keep things fun
Cons
  • The pub is on the smaller side, so it can feel a bit cramped when it's busy
  • Outdoor garden space is limited and might get packed on sunny days
  • Menu leans heavily towards pizzas and beers, so it might not suit if you're after more variety

There is nothing bad I can say about this place. This was my first *water-hole*, since starting uni here in Cambridge 3ya. I came for a pint of Ghost Ship cause I felt board at home. Nothing Uni related to do. And my server at the bar knew what I wanted. To which is a good quality sign that a person of her ilk is much needed in this world.

One of the classic Cambridge pubs, on a back street in the middle of a residential area. Super-friendly, great selection of drinks, and they're knocking out exceptionally tasty pizzas. Most definitely recommended.

first time in cambridge and genuinely the nicest pub i’ve ever visited. the staff were super helpful and friendly and the vibes inside and outside are impeccable. the garden space is small but gets the sun just perfectly. they even had a gluten free pizza base that was surprisingly tasty!! 2-4-1 pizzas on a monday so ended up being super affordable. ashley behind the bar was the sweetest most wholesome person ever and gave us recommendations for pubs/clubs to visit and 10/10 service so thank you ashley !! such a cute location and pub you must visit !!

Nice pub! Very small but really good pizzas! All pizzas we ordered were superb and quite filling! The one with pork belly and kimchi was the highlight for sure! The place is really nice and very family friendly! I really like that they have tap water available for you to pick up instead of having to ask all the time!

How refreshing! When was the last time you walked into an establishment and were welcomed with a warm greeting and a smile? Personally, I haven’t in a while. Jem has been a star, serving us with speed and open arms. It has been a quiet Sunday afternoon here in Salisbury Arms, with a hot and flavoursome Sunday Roast, while it drizzles outside. Thank you for having me and my partner here. It was our first time here and it will not be our last!
