About This Pub
Ah, the Royal Oak – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local haunt, you know? I was chatting with a few friends about it, and we all reckoned it's got that warm, inviting vibe where you can pop in for a pint and end up staying for hours. The staff are top-notch, always up for a chat and making sure everything runs smoothly, which really makes the place shine. You've got all the classics like a great selection of beers and spirits that won't empty your wallet, plus loads of entertainment from pool and darts to jukebox sessions and lively DJ nights – it's brilliant for letting your hair down with mates. The beer garden is a lovely spot too, especially on a sunny day, and they do a cracking job with live sports on the screens. But, on the downside, if you're after something specific on the drinks front, you might be out of luck now and then, and the opening times can be a bit confusing to sort out. All in all, it's a solid choice for a relaxed evening, and I'd say it's worth a visit if you're in the area – just go with the flow and enjoy the good times.

A well run proper pub. Duke box, DJ and Karioke nights, TVs for the sport.
Great pub decked out for Christmas. Shame there’s no Hopster on, the Original takes some getting used to particularly in a Grand Central glass.
Really great atmosphere, Nice go for a local boozer and you feel welcome straight away. Don’t normally come around Whitefield, but when I’m back I’ll be back here. Thanks guys!
It’s been a while since I’ve been to a local and had such a good experience. Top service and the beer garden is 10/10. Thanks guys. Can’t wait to see you again.
Called in here one wet Monday night. There was a few customers in, live football was being shown on large screens. There was a choice of real ales to choose from. I chose a pint of Lowry (4.7%) from the Hydes brewery, which was in perfect condition! I would visit again if in the area. 👍
