About This Pub
Oh, let me tell you about the Royal Lion – it's one of those places that just hits the spot every time. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the food is an absolute standout; think mouthwatering dishes like mixed souvlaki platters or garlic mushrooms that are packed with flavour and come in portions so generous you'll be stuffed. The staff really make the place shine too, always chatty and attentive, which adds to that lovely, welcoming feel. And the atmosphere? It's cosy and inviting, with a gorgeous garden area that's ideal for soaking up the sun or enjoying a quiet evening. They've got a cracking selection of drinks and menu options, including some great vegan choices and cocktails that won't break the bank. On the flip side, it does get packed out quickly because it's so popular, and that limited space means you might have to plan ahead to snag a table. Plus, while the value seems spot on, it could feel a tad expensive if you're popping in regularly. All in all, it's a fantastic spot for a meal with mates or a special occasion – I'd say give it a go if you're in the area, you won't regret it!

Great staff lovely cosy atmosphere and the waitress was wonderful. I will definitely be returning.
Nice place for a bite to eat and drink. The Owners ( Ali & Mario) are very nice people. Very welcoming and go out their way to help you. The pub is very clean and the staff are all pleasant and the garden area is beautiful. You must try the Buffalo Wings - Banging
The food was absolutely incredible, cannot fault it. We had a garlic mushroom starter to share and then the Greek sharing platter from the appetiser menu as a main…no way that was an appetiser! Filled us up so much, very generous portion. Cocktails were beautiful and very reasonable on a 2 for £12 offer! Recommend the King of the Jungle cocktail.
The only thing we would say is that we came on a Saturday evening and even though we were seated in the restaurant part with a lovely ambience, we could hear all the football noise from the sports bar right next door. But honestly it didn’t spoil the meal, just a shame that it feels a bit mixed up being in a really nice restaurant with football ruckus in the background like you’re in a sports bar.
Really lovely place and we’re planning to return!
We visited the restaurant yesterday and had a great experience. The food was delicious and offered great value for the price. The atmosphere was fantastic, making it a wonderful place to dine. Definitely a spot we’ll return.
