About This Pub

Ah, the Rose & Crown in Lenton – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem, you know? From what I've gathered from folks' experiences, it's got this warm, welcoming atmosphere where the staff go out of their way to make you feel looked after, whether you're popping in for a quick bite or settling in for the game. The food really hits the spot; imagine tucking into a stack of tender ribs or a burger that's packed with flavour, all without spending a fortune. It's brilliant for sports fans too, with live events like the Women's Euros or rugby tours, and they've made it super easy to book a table or even reserve space outside. On the flip side, keep an eye on that parking situation – it's pay and display, and while the team was helpful in sorting out one mishap, it's something to watch out for so you don't end up with a headache. Overall, it's a solid choice for a relaxed night out, especially if you're with mates or the family, and the dog-friendly policy just adds to the charm. I'd say it's worth a visit if you're in Nottingham; you'll likely leave with a smile and a full belly!

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are absolutely brilliant – always friendly, welcoming, and quick to sort out any issues, making you feel right at home.
  • The food is spot on; think juicy burgers, succulent steaks, and tasty wings like those epic jerk ones, all at prices that won't break the bank.
  • It's a fantastic spot for catching live sports, with plenty of seating inside and out, and they even make it easy to book a table for big events.
  • Dog-friendly vibes mean you can bring your furry mate along, which is just lovely for a relaxed outing.
  • They've got some great facilities like WiFi, parking, and even EV charging, plus it's family-friendly and accessible for everyone.
Cons
  • Parking can be a bit of a hassle since it's pay and display – one person mentioned getting a ticket, even though the pub stepped in to help, so it's worth double-checking to avoid any surprises.
  • The operating hours are fairly standard, but on Sundays, things wrap up a tad earlier, which might cut short your evening if you're planning a late one.

Decent pub food, especially for the price. Customer service fantastic. I got a parking ticket because we didn’t realise it was pay and display. Contacted the pub and they removed this quickly when I provided evidence of payment for our meal. Very grateful for the support they provided to resolve the issue.

Popped in for dinner. The welcome was very warm and the person behind the bar was jovial and welcoming. Food choices were good and I struggled to decide. Ultimately settling for the chicken and rib combo, I was not disappointed. Overall a very enjoyable evening meal, thank you. ☺️

I took the university of Nottingham girls society here and the staff were so lovely. Angela helped me book the outside sheltered area. They reserved us tables and set them all out nicely with reserved signs on the tables. The booking process was simple and easy. The staff were amazing with the patience of 30 girls all ordering drinks. The atmosphere was really good and friendly. Would 100% recommend and we hope to come again in the near future.
