About This Pub
Ah, the Rose & Crown – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem in Bradford, you know? From chatting through the reviews, it's clear that folks absolutely love the friendly crowd and the landlady who's often mentioned as being amazing, making every visit feel personal and welcoming. The drinks are a big win too; you've got quality real ales at prices that won't sting, and it's all served up in a unique space with three tiers that adds a bit of character. Throw in a DJ with a good mix of music on Saturdays, and you've got yourself a spot that's buzzing, especially on matchdays when it's packed and full of energy. But, let's be honest, it isn't perfect – the hours can feel a bit early, wrapping up around 7 PM most days, which might leave you wanting more time to linger. Plus, without a website or much online buzz, it's not the easiest place to get info on beforehand, and some reviews are a few years old, so you might wonder if everything's still as tip-top as it sounds. Overall, though, if you're after a straightforward, affordable night out with mates, this one's worth a punt – just pop in and see for yourself!
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The atmosphere is absolutely spot on – it's a proper friendly local spot where everyone seems to get along, making it feel like a home away from home.
-
They've got a great selection of drinks, especially the real ales, and the prices are really reasonable, so you won't break the bank for a good pint.
-
The music's a highlight too, with a DJ spinning a variety of tunes that keeps things lively, particularly on weekends.
-
It's got a unique charm with its three-tier setup, plus clean facilities and outdoor space for when you fancy a breather outside.
-
From what folks say, it's buzzing on matchdays and makes for a cracking place to catch up with friends or family.
Cons
-
The operating hours might be a bit limiting, as it typically closes around 7 PM, which could cut short your evening plans if you're hoping for a late one.
-
There's no website or much online presence, so it might be tricky to check details or reviews before heading over.
-
Some of the feedback is from a while back, like 2020, so things might have changed a tad since then, and it's hard to get the full picture with only a handful of recent reviews.

Had a great weekend in here whilst visiting freinds. Great atmosphere with DJ on Saturday night, everyone having a good time. Good prices and no long waiting at the bar. Proper locals bar and very busy on a matchday.
A classic Bradford pub, a good atmosphere with a bunch of jolly regulars. Nice pint of Tetleys. Clean, nice toilets and outside space to sit down.
