About This Pub
Ah, Ivory in Bradford – it's one of those spots that really gets the blood pumping with its brilliant Reggae and Dancehall tunes, and I've heard from mates that the dance floor stays packed all evening. The staff are gems, always cheerful and on point, making you feel right at home from the moment you step in. Plus, with just a fiver to get through the door and a handy smoking area, it's spot on for a budget-friendly night out. On the flip side, though, there might be a bit of hassle with some characters causing tension, and the door staff can seem a touch intimidating if you're not expecting it. Not everyone's going to love the music selection, as it's quite niche, and it's a pity it's only open a few days a week with what looks like irregular hours. All in all, if you're up for a good boogie and don't mind the odd hiccup, it's worth a punt – just go in with an open mind and you'll likely have a grand time.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The music is absolutely fantastic, with top-notch Reggae and Dancehall beats that keep the dance floor buzzing all night long.
-
The staff are a real highlight – from the cheerful bar team to the door security, they're friendly and make you feel welcome.
-
It's got a great vibe for dancing, with two floors to explore and a decent smoking area that's not too far from the action, so you don't miss out.
-
Entry is affordable, just a fiver, which makes it an easy choice for a fun night out without breaking the bank.
-
Overall, it's got a solid reputation with a 4.3 rating, showing plenty of folks have had a cracking time there.
Cons
-
There can be a bit of tension with some folks inside, like in many bars, which might spoil the fun if you're not in the mood to brush it off.
-
The door staff might come across as intimidating to some, with a stern demeanour that could put off first-timers.
-
Music tastes are subjective, so if Reggae and Dancehall aren't your thing, you might find it a bit one-note.
-
It's only open a few days a week, which is a shame if you're hoping for a spontaneous visit, and the hours seem a tad inconsistent.
-
With no website or online presence, it's tricky to get the latest info or plan ahead – you're mostly relying on word of mouth.

Best of Reggae an Dancehall beats and great staff from the bar staff to the door security, can get some tension there with some individuals but that's like most bars out there, 'enjoy the music and ignore and you have a grand time on the dance floor 😉👌🏾
Good music good staff .. definitely worth visiting if you haven't already..
Had a couple of nights here music great but everyone's choice is different in music
Banging night last night and Djs kept the dancing going all night. Bar staff cheerful and they have a decent smoking area that allows you to not be too far from the action
Having been to "Ivory" in Bradford Yorkshire before i thought why not when a friend and i decided to have my pre Birthday night out.. Cost a fiver to get in. couple of wanna be's (door men)stamp your wrist with a smile and demeanor that some may find intimidating. On the inside there's two floors providing a Great mixture of music, mostly Hypnotic uptempo Reggae, Dancehall, and Funky soul that kept the Ladys bootys shaking. Great atmosphere no fighting or any of that. Drinks dont seem too expensive (then again i only drink coke) and no one dancing trod on my toes. If your a relative stranger expect a few strange glances from male locals but thats as far as it goes if you dont show concern. dance floor upstairs and downstairs depending what music you prefer. Easy accessible toilets and the place stays open til well into the morning. Ok place generally friendly atmosphere 8 out of 10 from me..See you there next time..
