About This Pub

Ah, The Lord Clyde – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem in the heart of Bradford. From the reviews I've seen, everyone raves about the welcoming vibe; the staff are dead chatty and make you feel like you're part of the furniture from the get-go. If you're a fan of a good pint, they've got a cracking selection of real ales and other brews that really hit the spot, and the beer garden is an absolute winner on sunny days, tucked away like a little haven. The walls are lined with music memorabilia, which gives it that extra layer of character and makes for some interesting chats. Plus, with Sky Sports on tap and games like darts to join in on, it's spotlessly clean and just the ticket for a casual evening out. On the flip side, the operating hours look a tad inconsistent from the info available, so you might want to double-check before heading over. And while it's inexpensive and cosy, it doesn't seem to offer much in the way of food, so if you're peckish, you might need to plan ahead. All in all, it's a solid choice for a laid-back pint, and I'd say it's well worth a visit if you're after that authentic pub experience without any fuss.

Pros and Cons

  • A fantastic selection of real ales, lagers, and ciders that's spot on for any beer lover
  • The beer garden is a brilliant sun trap, perfect for soaking up the rays on a nice day
  • Loads of music memorabilia on the walls that adds a fun, nostalgic vibe to the place
  • Sky Sports is available, so it's great for catching the match with mates
  • It's a cosy and welcoming spot with games like darts and pools to keep things lively
Cons
  • The operating hours seem a bit muddled in the details, which might confuse folks planning a visit
  • There's no mention of food options, so it could be more of a drinks-only affair if you're after a proper meal

This was my first visit yesterday ( Friday). It was recommended to me by friends in "city vaults ". Only stayed couple of hours or so for drinks but felt a welcoming atmosphere. Music memorabilia decorates the the walls which is interesting. Spotlessly clean and inviting. Good selection of real ales. Most of all....a lovely welcome and friendly service by a young lady at the bar called Marley( Marlie ? not sure of spelling). Enjoyed my solo visit...felt comfortable and welcome. Will definitely visit again.
