About This Pub

Ah, Rattle n Hum – it's one of those pubs that really knows how to get the party going, isn't it? From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the place has this infectious energy with amazing music that gets everyone up and dancing, especially on Fridays and Saturdays when it's packed and full of life. I love how it's praised for its welcoming vibe, where the staff can make you feel like you're among friends, serving up drinks and ensuring you don't miss a beat. It's open late most days, which is brilliant for those spontaneous meet-ups after work or a weekend wind-down. But, let's be honest, it's not all smooth sailing – there are times when the service falls flat, like when tea arrives cold with a dodgy foam or staff seem a bit off-hand about prices, which can put a dampener on things. And that music, while fantastic for a boogie, can be so loud that you end up straining to hear your mates, turning what should be a chatty catch-up into a shouting match. Overall, it's a gem for a fun outing if you're in the mood for energy and excitement, but I'd say go in with realistic expectations and maybe avoid it if you're after a quiet pint. Still, with such a high rating, it's worth giving it a try – you might just have a brilliant time!

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The atmosphere is absolutely buzzing, perfect for a fun night out with mates – think great music and plenty of dancing that keeps everyone in high spirits.
  • Staff can be really welcoming and attentive, making you feel right at home, especially when they're on top form like in some of the reviews.
  • It's a solid spot for enjoying drinks and tunes, with mentions of amazing 90s music and a lovely vibe that draws you in for a good time.
  • Open seven days a week with late hours, so it's easy to pop in for a relaxed evening or a lively Saturday sesh.
Cons
  • Some staff might come across as rude or lazy, like when they're unsure about prices or can't get a simple cup of tea right.
  • Drinks can be hit or miss – we've heard tales of cold tea with foam and underwhelming gin drinks that leave you disappointed.
  • The music can get overwhelmingly loud, making it tough to chat and catch up with friends without shouting over the noise.
  • A few experiences have been lacklustre, with complaints about the overall service not living up to expectations every time.

I'm passing this pub every day on my way to work. I was thinking it might be a good one. I don't have too much experience in going to pubs .I said some day I will visit it. And it's today. I love it. Great service ,food, amazing music. They definitely got me with the 90s . The most I like it was that the security guy was there for helping keep this pub a good one, because all we want is a secure place to enjoy an evening out. Thank you.
