About This Pub
Ah, the Queens Head, what a delightful spot it is! From what I've gathered chatting about it with folks, it's got that perfect mix of old-school charm and modern flair, being a historic pub that's been all done up nicely with a lovely beer garden and even rooms if you're staying over. The food really steals the show – imagine tucking into a massive plate of Sunday roast or a tasty burger that's miles above your average pub grub, all made with fresh, local ingredients that the chefs clearly take pride in. Service-wise, it's all smiles and efficiency, making every visit feel relaxed and enjoyable, especially if you've got your dog in tow for a wander and a pint. On the flip side, though, it's a bit of a shame that the opening times aren't spelled out clearly, so you might end up twiddling your thumbs if it's closed when you fancy a stop-in. And with it being such a hit, things can get heaving at peak times, which might not suit if you're after a quiet evening. All in all, it's a solid choice for us pub enthusiasts looking for good grub and good times – I'd say give it a go and see for yourself, but maybe pop in midweek for a more laid-back vibe.

Absolutely excellent Sunday Roasts. Plenty of choice, Pork, Lamb, Beef or Chicken or all four if you are game. A huge plate of food (so don't eat breakfast before you go😊) and very tasty. Friendly service and great value for money. Would thoroughly recommend. We will definitely be back.
Behind the 'local pub' facade this place is a little gem. Service is second to none, friendly and efficient. Nothing too much trouble. Food was extremely tasty. Definitely bistro food, not just your usual pub food. Will certainly recommend and come back.
Had the burger and chicken skewers. Plenty of food on the plates. Very nice didn't expect this high quality food from a small busy pub, looks can be deceptive. Definitely call In again. Dog friendly pub with exceptional food. Thank you chef
It was the first time we visited the Queens Head for Sunday lunch and it won't be the last. We had roast beef which was cooked to perfection it was served with lovely fresh vegetables and gorgeous roast potatoes and a huge Yorkshire pudding. The staff were very friendly and efficient. I would recommend this to anyone.
Can't wait to return
Went with my wife for a meal after walking the dog. Nice friendly atmosphere and great service from the young lady behind the bar. Ordered gammon and chips and a curry of the day.
Every piece if food on both dishes was perfectly cooked and first class, some of the best pub served food I've had for some time and I couldn't fault it. Thank you to everyone at the Queen Vic. !
