About This Pub
Ah, the Queens Head – what a lovely spot it is, tucked away in Boreham near Chelmsford. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, this place really shines with its excellent food; think hearty, home-cooked dishes made with quality ingredients that leave you feeling satisfied. The beer selection is another winner, showcasing the best of Essex's local breweries alongside some familiar favourites, so it's a proper haven for anyone who appreciates a good pint. The staff stand out too – they're genuinely warm and accommodating, always ready to make you feel at home, whether you're popping in for a quick drink or celebrating something special like a family event. That character-filled atmosphere, complete with a charming garden, adds to the appeal, making it an ideal choice for a relaxed catch-up or enjoying one of their lively events, like a pizza and cider festival with live music. On the downside, it's a bit hidden from the main drag, so you might need to keep an eye out to find it first time around, and the opening times do seem a touch confusing at a glance. All in all, though, it's a solid pick for anyone after a traditional pub experience with a community feel – I'd say it's well worth a visit for a bit of that Essex hospitality.

Thank you to Jess and the team for accommodating myself, family and friends after my son's Christening at St Andrew's Church. They truly went above and beyond.
