About This Pub

Ah, the Printers Arms – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper community hub, you know? From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this inviting atmosphere where you can kick back, have a chat, and maybe even bring the dog along for the ride. The staff sound like absolute gems, always ready with a smile and making sure everyone feels looked after, which is just what you want on a relaxed Sunday afternoon or a catch-up with mates. That woodburner adds a nice touch too, especially when the weather turns nippy up in Chorley. But, let's be honest, it's not all perfect – there've been a few grumbles about the opening times not matching up with what's listed online, like one chap who turned up early and found the doors shut, which could put a dampener on your plans. And if you're hoping for a pub grub fix, you're out of luck for now, as there's no food menu in sight, though who knows, that might change down the line. Overall, with a solid 4.6 rating from folks who've been there, it's worth a visit if you're in the area, but maybe double-check the hours first to avoid any surprises. It's got that genuine local charm that makes it a winner, but like any spot, it's got its quirks.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in.
  • It's got a lovely, cosy atmosphere with a woodburner that's perfect for those chilly evenings, really adding to the charm.
  • Dogs are welcome inside, which is brilliant if you're popping in with your furry friend for a pint.
  • It's a great spot for chatting and socialising, with the TV in the background but not overpowering the conversation.
  • As a local pub, it has that authentic, community feel that's hard to beat, especially with its high overall rating of 4.6.
Cons
  • There's some confusion around opening times, as it seems like Google listings aren't always spot on, which could lead to a wasted trip.
  • No food on offer at the moment, which might disappoint if you're after a bite to eat with your drink.
  • A recent review highlighted issues with online info, like Google prompting reviews for visits that didn't happen, which feels a bit frustrating.

This is a Google maps issue. I was intending to be there last week and it was in my calendar but circumstances changed and I i didn't go. So why is Google asking me to review the venue?

Great run, atmospheric pub. Background TV but built around the need to socialise so conversation is key. Woodburner adds to the attraction, especially with dgos welcomed inside too. No food currently but that my maybe in the pipeline...

The staff were really nice and the atmosphere of the pub was lovely. It was our first time, and we would definitely return. Did not see any menus for food.
