About This Pub

You know, chatting about the Prince Regent in Great Yarmouth, it's one of those pubs that really hits the mark for a laid-back evening out. From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's brilliant for catching the game on the telly or just sinking into a comfy spot with a pint, and the staff seem like absolute stars – always friendly and ready to make your night enjoyable. There's that extra spark with live acts like singers popping up, which can turn a simple visit into something memorable. But, to keep it real, there was that one review moaning about running out of all the cask ales, which sounds like a proper nuisance and might put a dampener on things if you're after a specific brew. Overall, with such a strong rating, it's clear most people have a whale of a time, so I'd say it's worth popping in for a go, just keep your fingers crossed for the beer selection!

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The atmosphere is spot on for watching sports and having a relaxing time, making it a great spot to unwind with mates.
  • Staff are incredibly welcoming and attentive, always up for a chat and making you feel right at home.
  • There's often live entertainment, like talented singers, which adds a fun and lively vibe to the evenings.
  • Most folks rave about the good selection of ales and drinks, contributing to those high ratings.
Cons
  • It can sometimes run out of popular beers, like all the cask ales in one instance, which feels like a bit of a letdown.
  • There might be occasional management slip-ups, as hinted in some feedback, that could spoil an otherwise good visit.

Came across this pub one evening during a short visit to Great Yarmouth, an excellent singer called Hazel put on a wonderful show all night, the bar staff were very welcoming and attentive & the local patrons were really friendly. A great night, a great pub.

I was out with a few mates on Saturday, went in the Prince Regent, brilliant pub, had a lovely conversation with one of the barmaids, was asking about Jason Statham, didn't get the lady's name, but want to say thank you to her for taking the time to answer my questions, such a lovely woman, we all had a fabulous time, thank you so much

Wonderful old style pub, very helpful barmaid, gave me a cloth to clean the rain 🌧️ from my glasses 🤓.

Prince Regent is a good-looking but otherwise severely disappointing traditional pub near the Yarmouth seafront. Upon my visit, all of the six cask ales were out. ALL of them. I can accept 1 or 2 being gone, but to have ALL your beer run out takes a special kind of negligence, indicating poor management. So I didn't have to waste any more time on this place and went to the (in all aspects) superior local Spoon, The Troll Cart, which i just a couple of minutes from the Prince Regent.
