About This Pub
Ah, The Lion, what a lovely spot it is down in Great Yarmouth. From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got that classic pub charm where the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome, and the drinks are spot on without costing a fortune. I love how they've got things like karaoke nights that really liven things up, and it's great to hear it's dog-friendly too – perfect if you're out for a walk and fancy a pit stop. The overall rating's a solid 4.5, with recent feedback being nothing short of glowing, so you'd be hard-pressed not to have a good time. On the flip side, the operating hours look a bit confusing from the info available, which might catch you out if you're planning a late one, and without a website, it's not as straightforward to get the lowdown beforehand. Still, if you're after a relaxed, community-feel pub with decent prices and a welcoming crowd, I'd say give The Lion a go – it's got that heartwarming touch that makes pub visits memorable.

The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in.
-
They've got a cracking selection of drinks, including a top-notch pint of Guinness that keeps everyone coming back.
-
It's got a lively atmosphere, especially with events like karaoke on Saturdays, which really adds to the fun.
-
Prices are spot on – drinks and food are reasonably priced, so you won't break the bank for a good night out.
-
Dog-friendly setup means you can bring your furry mate along, which is always a bonus for us animal lovers.
-
Handy location just off the seafront in Great Yarmouth, perfect for a quick stop after a stroll by the sea.
Cons
-
The operating hours seem a bit muddled from what I've seen, with confusing entries that might make it tricky to know when they're open late.
-
No website or online presence listed, so it's not the easiest to check menus or events before heading over.
-
As a proper locals' pub, it might feel a tad cliquey if you're not in the mood for that community vibe, though everyone was welcoming in the reviews.

Nice pub just off the seafront.
Friendly staff and good selection of drinks.
Proper locals pub. Friendly service, nice and welcoming atmosphere and a top pint of Guinness
A lively pub, with Karaoke on the Saturday evening, my dad loved his time there. Thank you for making us most welcome on our first visit to your establishment.
We visited this pub for an evening when they had karaoke, sometimes in a pub you haven't been in ì the locals can make you feel a bit uncomfortable but everyone was really friendly and drinks were a very good price we had a great night.
Great dog friendly pub staff are very helpful, and food is reasonably priced. I highly recommend a visit
