About This Pub

You know, when I think about popping into the Premier Inn London Romford West for a bite or a stay, it really hits the mark in so many ways – the breakfast is a highlight, with fresh grub and cheerful staff who make you feel like you're catching up with old mates, and the rooms are just the ticket for a peaceful night. It's in a handy spot near the stations, with free parking and all the little touches like Wi-Fi that make life easier, especially if you're travelling with the family. On the flip side, though, I've heard a few folks mention that check-in isn't always as straightforward as it could be; you might end up waiting or having to chase for details, which can put a dampener on things after a long trip. Still, with that solid 4.0 rating, it's clear the good bits outweigh the niggles, and I'd say it's worth a visit if you're after reliable comfort without breaking the bank – just keep an eye out and ask if you need anything clarified to make the most of it.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The breakfast is absolutely spot on – fresh, tasty, and with plenty of variety to suit all tastes, making it a brilliant start to the day.
  • The staff are top-notch; they're friendly, welcoming, and go the extra mile, like cooking eggs fresh or making you feel right at home.
  • Rooms are clean and comfortable, with comfy beds and a quiet atmosphere, perfect for a good night's kip after a long day.
  • Great location just outside central London, with easy access via Romford and Chadwell Heath stations, and free parking on site.
  • It's family-friendly with options for kids, and the value for money is excellent, especially for a quick getaway or event nearby.
Cons
  • Check-in can be a bit of a faff sometimes, with not enough info shared upfront about things like breakfast times or waiting periods, so you might have to ask questions.
  • There could be occasional waits for rooms, even if you've booked in advance, which might add a bit of hassle after a tiring journey.
  • While the service is generally great, it seems like communication could be improved in some areas to make the whole experience smoother.

Had a lovely breakfast at Premier Inn Romford West with my son. The food was fresh, tasty, and there was a great variety to choose from. Gabriela and Anetta provided excellent service and made us feel very welcome.

Stayed here with my partner and 2 children. Staff were all polite and friendly, check in was quick and easy, but we could have had more explained to us, ect breakfast time and where to go for breakfast, so if you need to know anything you will probably have to ask. The room was a generous size and was clean but not overly clean, the bedside wall lamps had a thick layer of dust and so did some of the skirting boards. Coffee making facilities were provided. And there was toiletries provided in the bathroom. The bed was comfortable but the room was really hot and stuffy, bearing in mind that the outside temperature was only about 14-15 degrees, there were 2 large fans provided which helped a bit, also the breeze from the open window helped, but then you can't sleep due to the noise from the main road, so needed to be kept shut. Breakfast was nice, but some of the material chairs were really grubby, so could really do with being replaced. Overall our stay here was ok and I would probably stay here again if I needed to.

Nice hotel. Great location for us. We had been travelling since 5.30 in the morning to attend a wedding. The wedding finished and we got to the hotel ready to check in around 2.15pm and were told that we needed to wait till 3pm or pay extra. We had booked 2 rooms for 2 nights so it was already costing us a pretty penny. So we sat in the car with 3 kids. The rooms were obviously ready so I don't understand why 45 minutes early would substantiate an additional charge. Maybe you need to check your policy on this

We had an occasion to stay at the moby dick to attend our granddaughters graduation. Very warmly welcomed on arrival. The bedroom was nice and warm, and spotless. Crisp and clean bedding, the bathroom looked brand new. Will definitely stay again. Also very good value.
