About This Pub
Ah, let me tell you about the Premier Inn in Bicester – it's one of those places that does the job well for a quick getaway or a base for exploring the area. I reckon it's brilliant if you're popping over for some retail therapy at Bicester Village, which is literally minutes away, or even for a day out at Silverstone; the location's just ace. The staff are the real stars here, always cheerful and ready to lend a hand, making check-in a breeze and sorting out any queries with a smile. Rooms are straightforward but spot-on for value, with comfy beds and all the little touches like free Wi-Fi and a good shower to unwind after a long day. Plus, having breakfast and restaurant options on site means you can fuel up without venturing far. On the flip side, though, that parking charge is a bit of a letdown – it's not included, and you have to deal with it right away, which feels a touch unfair. And if you're staying during warmer weather, some rooms can get stuffy without air con, which isn't ideal for a good night's kip. All in all, it's a solid choice for a no-fuss stay, but it's worth weighing up those pros and cons to see if it suits your plans – I'd say give it a go if you're after convenience over luxury.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The location is absolutely spot on, just a stone's throw from Bicester Village for some top-notch shopping, and it's handy for trips to Silverstone or nearby National Trust spots.
-
The staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming; folks like Mo and Becky really go the extra mile to make you feel at home and sort out any little issues.
-
Rooms offer great value with comfy beds, powerful showers, free Wi-Fi, and all the essentials like tea and coffee facilities – perfect for a relaxing overnight stay.
-
There's a breakfast and restaurant option on site, which is a nice touch for starting your day right, especially if you're on the go.
Cons
-
Parking isn't included in the room price and it's an extra £4.50 charge that might catch you unawares – it's a bit of a faff having to sort it out upon arrival.
-
Some rooms, particularly the premium ones, lack air conditioning, which can make for an uncomfortably warm night if the weather's on the hot side.
-
There are occasional operational niggles, like delays in fixing issues such as room temperatures, which might leave you a tad frustrated.
-
The overall setup feels more hotel-like than a cosy pub vibe, so if you're after a traditional watering hole atmosphere, it might not quite hit the mark.

Perfect location for a quick visit to Bicester Village; 4 minutes away. Easy to find and be aware there’s a £4.50 parking charge payable when you arrive not when you leave. Mo and Becky are friendly people and go out of their way to help you settle. Rooms are great value. Leave the bathroom door slightly open when you shower as the extractor isn’t strong enough to stop the mirror steaming up. Security is good as you need your card to get into the corridors to access rooms. Tea and coffee facilities in the room with free top ups in reception area. Comfortable bed and 4 pillows should you need extra. Recommended.
It says it's a three star hotel but I saw loads of stars the night I stayed. I wasn't expecting so many - there were literally millions. When I raised this with the staff they were lovely and they got me a glass of water, which I drank in my mouth. I handed the glass back to them. They said thanks and I said thanks. I saw a man but I didn't know who he was. Then I saw another man and two women, then I saw another woman.
Premium/ executive rooms have no air conditioning. Currently 32'c in my room. No windows to open. Just a fan to move warm air around the room. The receptionist said she has been telling the manager for the last 2 week', and they haven't organised anyone to come out to rectify the issue. 2 weeks. Its unbearably hot. No spare rooms. Im actually debating going to go buy a tent and go camping instead. For the week im in bicster.
But 32'c at 21:37 at night it quite frankly outrageous.
Terrible that parking is not included with room price - plus they don’t make it clear on check in that this is the case. Luckily I asked and was directed back outside into the car park with my bags to pay the charge - as they won’t do it in the hotel. Be very careful when booking this hotel as unlike 99% of hotels in UK you have to pay extra to park here.
Had an interesting experience. Checked in to ground floor room in the afternoon and can solidly say that the person above us was having some sort of catwalk style party which continued 3hrs later. Am I the only person that upon checking into a room will lie in bed and do nothing else. Who walks around their premier inn rooms for hours on end...
Anyway my daughter fell unwell within this time and at this point we needed to move rooms.
Fortunately we had the pleasure of a wonderful lady called BECKY. May I say she's an incredibly kind membervof reception. She heard my cries for help literally and without hesitation gave us a room top floor far corner away from any noise. As I write this i am currently lying in the hotel room bed and feeling very appreciative from the Receptionist Becky. I do hope you are rewarded by management for being so kind and understanding.
