About This Pub
Ah, Pitcher & Piano in York – it's one of those places that just draws you in with its stylish setup right on Coney Street, making it ideal for everything from a casual lunch to a lively night out. I have to say, the staff really shine; they're so attentive and go the extra mile to ensure you're enjoying yourself, which makes the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. The bottomless brunch is a standout – it's such a fun affair with delicious dishes and free-flowing drinks that keep the good times rolling. And let's not forget the terrace with its views of the River Ouse; it's just lovely for a chat over a cocktail on a sunny afternoon. On the other hand, it's not all smooth sailing – some have found the portions a tad skimpy for what you're paying, and there have been moments where service slips, like having to hunt down refills or cope with missing cocktail ingredients, which can put a damper on things. Still, it's a solid choice for a get-together with friends; just pop in with realistic expectations, and you're bound to have a memorable time.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are incredibly attentive and friendly, always making sure you're well looked after and adding a real personal touch to your visit.
-
Their bottomless brunch is an absolute winner, with fabulous food and endless drinks that make for a brilliant way to start the weekend.
-
It's got a lovely atmosphere, from cosy booths inside to a terrace overlooking the River Ouse, perfect for soaking up the views on a nice day.
-
The all-day menu is spot on, offering everything from tasty flatbreads and salads for lunch to small plates that pair wonderfully with drinks.
Cons
-
Portions can feel a bit on the small side for the price, which might leave you wanting more after a meal.
-
Service isn't always consistent; you might have to chase for refills or deal with missing ingredients for drinks, which can be a bit frustrating.
-
The ordering system via QR code doesn't always cover everything, like drinks, so it could mean a trip to the bar when you'd rather stay put.

Fab food and continuously refill drinks. Great customer service. Really appreciate how attentive Laura. Ella, Joel and Jasmine were.
Best bottomless brunch I’ve done! Great food and very attentive staff l! Laura, Ella, Joel and jasmine were fantastic and couldn’t do more! Would definitely recommend and we will be coming back!
Served by Laura, Joe and Ella, they returned to the table every 10 minutes asking if we wanted another drink! Very efficient and happy to serve us. Food ordered and delivered within 15 minutes. Definitely worth the money!
The worst bottomless brunch I have been to! The dishes were so small for the price and we had to keep asking for drinks usually staff come over and ask what next drink you would like we had to chase up loads. Also my friend ordered a vegan breakfast (we did a pre order) and she was brought a traditional breakfast
We sent it back asking for vegan and the staff member brought over her breakfast and said she was embarrassed herself as it consisted of 1 sausage, beans, 2 tomatoes and about 5 mushrooms. They didn’t even give her plain toast or a hashbrown (which were both vegan friendly) I will not return for bottomless brunch here it’s actually put me off going back at all and P&P used to be a firm favourite for me in York!
We did complain and got 20% off the whole bill which made up for it but it’s still a really bad brunch
We were sat outside on the terrace but you can only order food on the QR code on the table and not drinks so after we'd ordered the food I had to go to the bar to order drinks. I asked for 3 different drinks, of which they were missing ingredients for so were unable to make so whilst I was waiting for them to find something they could make my food had meanwhile been delivered to my table and since gone cold by the time I got back to the table from the bar. When we enquired how we got the heater to work in our booth we were told some of them didn't work. The staff were a misery and not that helpful. It was a disaster from start to finish and I didn't enjoy my visit at all
