About This Pub
Ah, Pitcher & Piano in Newcastle, it's one of those places that just hits the spot for a proper get-together with mates or even a solo unwind by the Quayside. I have to say, the views are spot on, with that riverside setting making every visit feel a bit special, especially when the sun's out and you're sipping on something refreshing. The staff really shine through; they're polite, efficient, and go the extra mile with recommendations, like that incredible French Martini someone mentioned, which makes the whole experience feel personal and welcoming. On the food front, they've nailed the pub classics and fun offers like bottomless brunch, and it's brilliant that they welcome dogs too – perfect if you're out with your four-legged friend. Of course, it's not flawless; you might run into a minor issue here or there, like an egg not quite cooked to perfection or a dish that could do with a touch more of something, but honestly, that's just pub life, and it doesn't overshadow the good times. All in all, if you're in Newcastle and fancy a place that's relaxed, full of character, and great for making memories, this is definitely one I'd recommend giving a go.

Cons
-
There might be the odd hiccup with food prep, like a poached egg not being as runny as you'd hope or wishing for a bit more avocado on your dish.
-
It can get a tad inconsistent with portions or details, though it's not a deal-breaker given how positive the overall experience is.

Overall a very nice experience. Had a Caesar salad and an incredible French Martini recommended to me and made by a nice bartender, Brandon. Fun atmosphere, very pretty with it being right on the riverside with lots of sunlight. Would go again.
One of the poached eggs was not runny.
Could have done with more avocado.

Staff & service excellent.

We were served by Mo. He was great, really polite and the good was amazing. Would definitely recommend.
It's my favourite place in Newcastle. When I feel sad and homesick, this is the place. Amazing atmosphere very relaxing and even when not sunny still beautiful. Always the best service; the waiter is extremely friendly, efficient, and helpful. The food is always excellent. I had a steak, and it was tender, flavourful
, and perfectly cooked, as I requested.
I came here with my partner during our trip to Newcastle and would definitely recommend it had a lovely atmosphere. The server was very nice, the food was lovely I'm vegetarian and lactose intolerant so it's not often I get a nice curry.
