About This Pub
Ah, Old Tom's Bar Bistro – it's one of those places that just feels like a hidden gem in the heart of Hemel Hempstead's old town, you know? From what I've gathered from folks who've been, the cocktails are an absolute highlight; they're well-crafted and come in a great variety, whether you're after something classic or a bit more adventurous. The staff really make the place shine too, with their warm, efficient service that keeps things flowing smoothly – it's like chatting with old friends behind the bar. Plus, they've got these fun events lined up, like DJ sessions playing organic house tunes or pop-up menus with delicious Caribbean dishes, which add a lively twist to your visit. The bottomless brunch is another winner if you're in the mood for something more substantial. But, to keep it real, there have been a few niggles; sometimes they don't have all the ingredients for popular drinks, which can put a damper on things, and the opening hours can be a bit of a puzzle with different times popping up. Still, overall, it's a solid choice for a good time out – I'd say give it a go if you're in the area, as the positives far outweigh the minor downsides.

Small bar in Hemel old town . Good cocktails 2 for 1 . Unfortunately didn’t have the ingredients for mojito which was slightly disappointing. Went for a Pina colada instead. Nice to have a venue with some music on to
Popped into here for one or 2 drinks.. Ended up having 4 cocktails each and a plate of tapas each.
It was a Thursday night but the service was quick and efficient. The cocktails looked and tasted stunning.
We decided to sample some tapas and shared a squid dish and a belly pork dish, and wow.. They were beautiful. Presented well and so tasty. Music was good and the atmosphere was chilled, we felt welcomed and would definately come back again.
