About This Pub
Ah, The Full House – it's one of those classic Wetherspoons spots that you can't help but appreciate for its history as an old theatre, with that lovely art deco flair that makes it feel a bit special compared to your average pub. I love how affordable everything is; it's brilliant for grabbing a cheap breakfast or a pint without worrying about the bill. The outside area is a nice touch too, especially on a clear day, and it's usually kept tidy, which adds to the welcoming vibe. But honestly, chatting with mates about it, the staff can be a real mixed bag – some reviews mention them being downright rude or slamming drinks down, which takes the edge off the fun. Then there's the service hiccups, like orders getting muddled or food not coming out right, with tales of raw bacon and untoasted toast that leave you a bit disappointed. Overall, it's a solid choice if you're after value and atmosphere, but I'd say go in with realistic expectations and maybe skip it if you're after top-notch service; it's all about weighing up those pros and cons for a balanced night out.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The building has loads of character as it's a converted old theatre with lovely art deco style, making it a real standout spot for a pint.
-
It's super affordable, just like most Wetherspoons, so you can enjoy a good value meal or drink without breaking the bank.
-
They've got a nice outside area that's perfect for a sunny day, and it's generally kept clean which makes for a comfortable visit.
-
Some of the food hits the mark, like a hot breakfast that can really start your day off right when it's done well.
Cons
-
Staff can be a bit rude or aggressive at times, with reports of drinks being slammed on the bar, which puts a damper on the atmosphere.
-
Service isn't always reliable – orders get mixed up, like getting the wrong number of breakfasts or food that's not cooked properly, such as raw bacon or untoasted toast.
-
The overall experience feels inconsistent; you might have a great time one visit and then face some frustrations the next.
-
While the building's charming, the food quality is pretty standard for a chain pub, and it doesn't always live up to the historic vibes.

There’s more chance of the queen rising from the dead than getting a smile off any of the staff members!
Rude, aggressive, disrespectful, literally slamming pints on the bar in anger!
Why? I’ve politely ordered a drink and said please and thank you lol.
What’s the problem?
Don’t work in a pub if you don’t have any customer service, it’s a main part of your job role.
•Drinks are well priced
•Burgers are alright depended on what you get
•Staff need to relax
Great character building as old theatre, friendly staff, clean in general and nice outside area too
As a 'Spoons go, the build is a bit of a standout, a converted old cinema it really is a nice art deco style building, it would make a lovely good quality restaurant and entertainment venue.
As for the food, standard wetherspoons fayre, anaemic toast, more akin to warm bread. Good runny egg, shame it was cold.
All in all you get that you pay for, where else can you get breakfast and a pint at 10am for under a tenner.
Very ice breakfast. Served hot with a 😃
Unbelievable incompetence. They messed up our order and we got 2 breakfasts instead of 3. They said the reordered breakfast would be very quick. We sent back one of the 2 breakfasts because the bacon was raw and the toast was not toasted. My wife and child then ate their food even though the poached eggs were uncooked and the rest of the food was cold. 10 minutes later my breakfast arrived. It was cold. I sent it back to be warmed up. 15 minutes later still no breakfast. I asked to see the manager. I went to the bar and asked again. When he turned up I complained the food was cold and poor he said that was not true. I asked for the area managers' contact details. He told the staff to refund me. The manager then walked away to do other important jobs such as clearing tables. I asked again for the area manager contact details and was told by the bar staff that I couldn't have it because of "data protection". I then explained that I was a shareholder in Wetherspoons and I had every right to ask for and obtain the area manager contact details. The staff again refused so I insisted on seeing the pub manager again, assuming he'd finished his more important tasks. Eventually I got the contact details.
I have used The Full House before and never had this form of disgraceful customer service and incompetence before.
