About This Pub
Ah, O'Dwyers Bar – it's one of those places in Derby that just feels like a proper local haunt, you know? From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this lovely, inviting vibe that's perfect for catching up with mates over a pint or enjoying a bite to eat. The staff sound like absolute stars, always friendly and on point, which really makes the experience shine. And let's not forget the food and drinks; the Guinness is apparently spot-on, and the meals are well-priced and delicious, as a few reviewers raved about. It's a family-run affair, which adds that extra layer of charm and authenticity. On the flip side, though, the opening times are a tad confusing with some inconsistencies, so you might want to double-check before you pop in. Plus, their website's playing up, which is a shame if you're trying to get the lowdown beforehand. Overall, it's a solid choice for a night out – the high ratings speak for themselves – but just keep those little niggles in mind, and you'll likely have a brilliant time.

Cons
-
The operating hours seem a bit muddled with conflicting times listed, which might leave you scratching your head about when it's actually open.
-
Their website isn't very accessible right now due to some errors, so it's not the easiest to get more info online before heading over.
-
It can be quiet at certain times, like early evenings, so if you're after a buzzing crowd, you might need to time your visit just right.

If in Derby why would you go anywhere other than here and the bell and castle. Lovely bar, great family owned business.
Four of us went to O'Dwyers last night , watched the rugby had great food and all the staff were amazing, can't recommend the place enough .
Great pub in the middle of Derby, service was great and the Guinness is very very good. Highly recommend
Looks like it could be a fun place to have a few beers. We were in quite early on a Friday evening & it wasn't very busy but it still had a good 'vibe'.
Friendly bar staff, good pint of Guinness & good music.
Visited this afternoon with my partner -
We opted to go to Munchbox and the Marquis instead of this place last week - what a mistake that was!
This place was great, really great looking bar/restaurant, good atmosphere and very friendly staff!
Food was well priced, and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals.
During our visit two staff members where dutifully helping a lady who had lost her phone in there the night before to locate her phone - they were successful!
I’d visit here again and recommend it to any foodie!
Parmesan & Garlic wings and chips were amazing
