About This Pub

Oh, you know, I've popped into the Queens Head in Uxbridge a few times, and it's one of those pubs that just feels like a second home. The staff are genuinely lovely, always going the extra mile to make sure you're comfortable, like that bar person Holly who's got a knack for making everyone feel welcome. The food's a real highlight too – their Sunday roasts are bang on, and the lunch deals are a bargain, especially midweek when you're after something simple and satisfying. It's got that classic British pub charm with its history stretching back to the 1500s, which is fascinating if you're into that sort of thing, but it might not suit everyone if you're after something more modern. On the downside, it does get a bit packed on weekends, so you might have to queue for a table, and the hours aren't always as flexible as you'd like. All in all, though, it's a solid choice for a pint and a chat – affordable, welcoming, and with a nice mix of facilities like being dog-friendly, so you can bring the whole gang. If you're in Uxbridge, it's definitely worth a visit for that authentic pub experience.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are absolutely brilliant and make you feel right at home, with that warm, welcoming vibe that's hard to beat.
  • The food is spot on – think tasty Sunday roasts and affordable lunches that hit the spot without breaking the bank.
  • It's got a lovely historic charm, dating back centuries, which adds a bit of character and makes for great conversation over a pint.
  • Family-friendly and dog-friendly, so it's perfect for popping in with the kids or your furry mate for a relaxed afternoon.
  • They've got a cracking atmosphere, with options like Sky TV and WiFi, making it a versatile spot for watching the game or just chilling out.
Cons
  • The historical theme, with its nod to Anne Boleyn, might feel a tad quirky or intense for some, though it's all in good fun.
  • Opening hours can vary a bit, and it might not always stay open as late as you'd hope on quieter days.
  • It can get quite busy during peak times, which might mean a wait for a table or that cosy spot by the bar.

Fantastic Experience at The Queen’s Head, Uxbridge After a busy shopping trip, we stumbled upon The Queen’s Head in Uxbridge — and what a brilliant find it was! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by Mani, who was exceptionally hospitable, friendly, and helpful, instantly making us feel at home. We ordered the roast chicken, and it genuinely exceeded our expectations. It arrived promptly, was freshly cooked, piping hot, and wonderfully juicy — not a hint of dryness. The portion size was just perfect, satisfying without being overwhelming. What stood out even more was the genuine care and attention from the staff. Not only did Mani check to make sure everything was to our liking, but the chef, Taylor, also came out personally to ask if we were happy with our meals — a lovely touch that you don’t often see. The pub itself is in a fantastic location, just a 30-second walk from the High Street, making it super convenient. With great food, wonderful service, and a warm atmosphere, we will definitely be returning. Highly recommended.

Their lovely and generous service always makes the taste of food better. And let me pay. I do want to recommend this place to anyone I know, and honestly the customers in the place are also lovely.

Loveliest place for a Sunday roast. I always come here with my friends and have a great time. The staff is super friendly and very helpful, plus the menu has lots of options. The Sunday roast is the best I have ever had and their vegetarian option is great too. If I have to pick a restaurant for a Sunday meal, this is defintely my first option! Great job ❤️

This is the best pub in Uxbridge as per our opinion. It has the quaint charm that can make one relax and enjoy a pint and a warm meal. As the name suggests, the pub is filled with images of Anne Boleyn’s head, a clear nod to the tragic fate of the queen, whose head was involuntarily separated from her body. Moving on to the food—while most of it was good, the bao was a bit disappointing. We were expecting the traditional steamed buns, but instead, we were served baked baos, which didn’t quite hit the mark. Overall we will come here again but won't order any food that is some kind of fusion food. This is a must visit.
