About This Pub
Ah, the New Pippin – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a reliable old friend in Coventry, you know? From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the food is a real winner; folks rave about the flame-grilled dishes that are not only tasty but also great value for a casual meal. The staff are an absolute delight, always going the extra mile to ensure you're looked after, like that chap Reece who's mentioned in a few reviews for his helpfulness. It's spot on for sports fans too, with live screenings of events like the Women's Euros, and they've got all the amenities sorted, from free Wi-Fi to family-friendly features and easy parking. On the flip side, it does have that typical chain pub feel, which means it might not stand out as something truly special or unique. Plus, it's often described as quiet, which is brilliant if you're after a peaceful pint, but if you're in the mood for a bit more excitement and chatter, it could come across as a tad subdued. All in all, it's a solid choice for a straightforward, enjoyable outing – I'd say give it a go if you're nearby, as it's got that warm hospitality that makes you want to pop back for more.

Cons

As a chain pub, it might lack that unique local charm, feeling a bit standard compared to independent spots.

It can be quite quiet at times, which is lovely for a calm chat but might not suit if you're after a more lively, energetic atmosphere.
-
The overall rating is a solid 3.9, suggesting it's reliable but perhaps not outstanding in every aspect, based on mixed experiences from regulars.

One of our locals, come here often. Staff are lovely and friendly. Food is great and never had any issues even with larger orders.
Served by Reece today, lovely lad and super helpful
Came here today to celebrate our 15 yr anniversary. Nice & quiet pub. The young curly haired lad on the bar was great & nothing was 2 much trouble for him. The food was hot & tasty which we really enjoyed. He kept us updated when something wasn't available on my husbands pudding. He cleared out table straight away. Will definitely recommend & be back again soon. Thank you.
I always enjoy visiting this nice and quiet pub. There is always a quiet place to sit and enjoy your meal even when it's really busy. Good parking space, wheelchair friendly as well
