About This Pub
Ah, the Mulberry Tree Inn – it's one of those pubs that just feels like home from the moment you walk in. I've got to say, the team there really know how to make you feel welcome; they're chatty, efficient, and always up for a laugh, which makes for a proper enjoyable visit. The food's straightforward and reasonably priced, with big portions that satisfy without breaking the bank, though it's pre-prepared so it won't wow you with fresh, gourmet flair – but hey, sometimes that's exactly what you fancy after a long day. Sports fans will love it; they've got plenty of screens and show all the major games, making it a brilliant place to gather with mates for the likes of the Women's Euros. The beer selection is spot on too, with a nice variety of ales that keep things interesting. On the flip side, if you're hoping for something truly homemade, the pre-prepared meals might leave you wanting a bit more authenticity. Plus, the hours can be a bit tricky to pin down, so plan ahead to avoid any surprises. All in all, it's a warm, community-focused spot that's got more going for it than not, and I'd happily recommend it for a casual evening out – just pop in and see for yourself!
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are absolutely brilliant – friendly, hardworking, and always going the extra mile to make you feel welcome, just like chatting with mates at your local.
-
The food's a solid choice with generous portions and great value for money; it's pre-prepared but still hits the spot for a quick, tasty bite.
-
It's a fantastic spot for sports enthusiasts, with loads of screens showing multiple games, perfect for catching the big matches like the Women's Euros.
-
They've got a top-notch selection of beers and lagers, including cask ales, which is a real treat for anyone who appreciates a good pint.
-
The atmosphere is lovely and welcoming, ideal for families, dog owners, or just popping in for a casual get-together with friends.
Cons
-
The food being pre-prepared means it's not freshly made, so if you're after something homemade from scratch, it might not quite live up to that expectation.
-
There could be some confusion with opening hours, as they vary and might not always align with what's listed, so it's worth double-checking before heading out.
-
It can get a bit bustling during events or peak times, which might make it feel a tad crowded if you're after a quiet spot.

Recent Reviews
I visited the Mulberry Tree, and while the food was decent quality, it's worth noting that it's pre-prepared. You get what you pay for, but it's not necessarily a bad thing!
The real highlight was the bar service - the team is fantastic! They're hardworking and go above and beyond whenever possible. I was impressed by their dedication and enthusiasm.
Unfortunately, I witnessed some challenging customer behavior, with two older women being quite rude to the staff. However, this didn't deter the team from providing excellent service.
I wanted to write this review to give credit where credit is due. Hospitality isn't easy, and the team at the Mulberry Tree deserves recognition for their hard work. Despite the difficulties they face, they continue to provide great service. Well done, team!
I think the food in here is the best it’s ever been, Jenny and the team have worked hard to get the food menu going, it’s nice to walk in and enjoy the atmosphere, plenty of ladies that lunch.
All around good value for money! Food is delicious, service is good, atmosphere is great.
Great local pub in the heart of the village, attracts a real cross section of ages. Excellent for sports fans as they have loads of screens and can show multiple games at a time.
Decent outside space when the weather permits as well.
Oh, and a top notch beer & lager selection!
Only lived in the area for 9 months. The Mulberry is one of 3 great pubs in Stockton Heath.
There’s always friendly staff, a good selection of cask ales (it’s a shame the Golden wasn’t replaced with the Speckled Hen for the winter).
Sky Sports always showing and the staff are happy to switch channels if you ask.
Food also decent, no nonsense pub grub 👍
Food was excellent! Huge (and delicious) portion sizes and very reasonably priced. Plus the staff gave exceptional service. If I lived in the area this would be a regular dinner location. Very impressed.
