About This Pub
You know, I had a right good time at Costello's Bar the other week, and it's one of those places that just feels like a proper local gem in Stockton Heath. The live bands, especially on Sundays, really get the energy going and make for a memorable night – it's spot on if you're after some entertainment with your drinks. The staff are dead friendly, and they've nailed the beer selection with loads of local brews that are worth trying out. Plus, it's great that you can pop in with your dog on a quiet evening; adds a nice touch of community feel. On the flip side, not every band's a winner – some nights it might fall a bit flat, and I'm still not clear on whether they do food properly, which could be a letdown if you're peckish. The recent refurb has sorted a few things but made other areas a tad uncomfortable, like the snugs feeling smaller now. All in all, it's a solid choice for a relaxed catch-up or a fun outing, as long as you go in with realistic expectations – definitely worth a visit if you're in Warrington and fancy a pint with mates.

Best way to spend a Sunday evening with live bands every week
Great place to have a drink, lovely service, and great atmosphere.
Not sure if they actually do food, but my better half took me there on St Paddy's day and it was really good with a great live band.
Came again on the 07/04/24 and the band wasn't as good as they only seemed to play the music that they thought that they could play and not what I (and the other customers I spoke to tonight) wanted to hear and the place absolutely stunk of BO....
This smell was very noticable, and the guests that joined our table commented that this wasn't unusual and it also smelt of piss because the same mop was used for the toilets as well as the main bar area
Apart from the smell it's a good place for live music around Stockton Heath.
Interesting local, with a good range of local beers as well as wheat beer on draught. Also, dog friendly on the quiet nights.
Just been refreshed Feb 2023. Feel like they haven't got it right. The snugs have been raised, reduced in size and now no longer are perfect when one has the dog. Also the seating area looks haphazard. Still good beers though. Think they have missed the mark somewhat.
Always a pleasure to visit this bar. Ales from Dunham Massey & Lymm Brewery, although my favourite is Dunham Dark.
