About This Pub

Ah, the London Bridge Inn – it's one of those pubs that really grows on you once you step inside. I've heard from loads of folks that it's turned into a proper gem after that refurb, with a cosy, inviting atmosphere that's just right for sinking into a comfy chair with a pint of their award-winning cask ale. The food's another highlight; think hearty Sunday roasts and home-cooked favourites that hit the spot, especially if you're after something traditional with local flavours. And let's not forget the garden – it's brilliant on a sunny day, right by the canal, making it ideal for a casual afternoon or even a family outing. But, to be fair, it's not all perfect; I've chatted with a few who said the service can drag a bit when they're short on staff, and the prices might make you think twice, with portions that aren't always as filling as you'd like. Still, the friendly team often makes up for it, and overall, it's a place I'd recommend giving a go if you're in Warrington – just keep expectations balanced and you'll likely have a great time.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The pub has a stunning atmosphere after its recent refurb – it's warm, welcoming, and full of character, making it a great spot for a cosy catch-up.
  • They serve up some cracking traditional pub food with a good selection on the menu, like that must-try cheese pie, using locally sourced ingredients.
  • It's family-friendly with a lovely garden area, perfect for enjoying a pint in the sunshine or watching the world go by beside the canal.
  • The staff are really approachable and friendly, adding to that homely feel, and they've got a fantastic range of cask ales and craft beers to choose from.
Cons
  • Service can be a bit patchy at times, often due to understaffing, which might leave you waiting a tad longer than you'd like.
  • The food's on the pricey side compared to other local pubs, and portions aren't always as generous as you'd hope, even if it tastes good.
  • It seems like the place could do with a little more TLC in spots, as some areas might not be quite as fresh as they could be.
  • A few folks have mentioned it's not always as warm and inviting as you'd expect, which is a shame for a spot that's meant to be a local favourite.

We went to the London Bridge for lunch last week after their new refurb, the pub is stunning the menu has a really good food selection and the food itself was beautiful (the cheese pie is a must try) . Really warm, welcoming team. If you haven’t been yet it’s a definite must try !

Great location to stop and watch the world go by - especially on the canal. The food was your normal "Pub Grub" - good but as expected. Service was lacking a bit, I will put it down to being understaffed - a lot of restaurants are having issues I hear. If you arrive by the canal by boat, you can moor up along side close to the pub.

Beautiful place, just beside a waterway. Loads of seats inside and out. Lovely ambiance and decor inside, I like the vibe. Nice to sit outside when it's sunny. Very approachable staff and friendly. But pricey food compared to other pubs and food serving is not as generous but it taste good. Some selection of beer and ale. Parking at the back but can be packed quick since alot of patrons drop by.

Never in 17 years of being on my doorstep and visiting regularly can I say it's warm, friendly and welcoming. When you visit the many bars in the village you see the difference. Food is okish, nothing special. It's shutting for refurb with new landlord at reopening, I'm hoping for better times in near future.

Often come here to sit outside and enjoy an afternoon in the sunshine. Celebrated our youngest sons 21st here in 2018 when the outside area was still lovely. It needs a little tlc now I believe sadly. Franck the manager is lovely and so welcoming. An asset indeed.
