About This Pub
Ah, Mother Kelly's in Tottenham – it's one of those spots that really grows on you if you're into your craft beers and a bit of post-match chatter. From what I've gathered from the reviews, they've got an impressive lineup of brews on tap, always fresh and varied, plus some top-notch non-alcoholic choices that make it inclusive for everyone. The staff can be absolute gems when they're on form, dishing out advice like old mates at the bar, and it's ideally placed just a stone's throw from the stadium, so it's spot-on for grabbing a pint after the game or while you're killing time at the station. That said, it's not all rosy – a few folks have mentioned the service can be hit or miss, with some staff seeming a bit off or not as friendly as you'd hope, which might leave you feeling a tad deflated. The venue's got this industrial edge that works well when it's packed and lively, but on slower nights, it can come across as a bit stark and unsure of itself, almost like it's trying to be something it's not. Overall, though, with a solid 4.3 rating, it's worth a visit if you're in the area – just go in with an open mind and maybe avoid peak times if you're after a warmer welcome. It's got real potential to be a go-to haunt, but like any good pub, it's the little things that make or break it.

Brilliant location near Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and the station, perfect for a quick stop after a match or while waiting for a train.
-
Lovely atmosphere with an industrial vibe that can feel really lively when it's buzzing, almost like a trip to Berlin.

It's a welcoming addition to the area, offering good ambience and a chance to relax with friends over a pint.
Cons
-
Some staff can come across as a bit miserable or rude, which puts a damper on the experience.
-
The place seems to be having an identity crisis, not quite sure if it's a cosy local or something more edgy.
-
That industrial feel might be off-putting on quieter days, making it feel a tad cold and unwelcoming.
-
It's on the pricier side, so you might end up paying a bit more than expected for your drinks.

Everything a modern bar should be.
Love the place. A regular stop on the pilgrimage from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to Tottenham Hale Station. The bar keeps are good characters and have good knowledge of the drinks on offer and they also have the best non alcoholic beers money can buy. They even have one on tap. They seem to have a medicine for all the heartache we Spurs fans go through. Technically it's therapy I suppose. They also have some wonderful Whiskeys (and Wines, so I was told.)
I’ve recently moved to the area, and Mother Kelly’s would be considered my local. However, after a couple of visits, I just can’t work the place out. It feels like it’s having a bit of an identity crisis, and the staff come across as quite miserable and rude.
The venue has real potential to be a go-to spot in the area, but it lacks personality and doesn’t seem to adapt to what would actually work well here. The only time there’s any sort of atmosphere is on game days aside from that, it’s completely dead.
It’s a real shame, as I genuinely think it could be a great and busy place with the right changes.
You may have been to another Mother Kelly's so you know the drill.. lots of beers, ever-changing, on tap. A snack if needed. A few cocktails/wines. But this feels different. Not just the cavernous inside, and the industrial feel, making it feel very Berlin circa 1982 (helped by the sound track). It just feels different. The staff know their beers, of course, as would be expected. There are a few tables outside. And nice touch with the beer-tap taps in the unisex toilets.
And if nothing else, the walk down Ashley Road from Tottenham Hale station gives you an insight into what they've done to this area, and are still doing. In a few years this may very well be the place to live in London.
Talking about the station: if your train is delayed you could do worse than walking the 2 minutes to Mother Kelly's for a swift pint or two. I'll be back next time my train isn't on the platform!
Much needed addition to the area and close enough to the Tottenham Hale station for a pint when you've missed your train.
Good ambience, friendly staff and a solid offering on tap. On the pricer side but that's expected due to the nature of their offering.
Still has that new smell to the place.
Located within a short walking distance from Tottenham Hale station and tucked underneath one of the new housing developments. I was immediately struck by the sheer size of the venue with it's high ceilings and cold industrial feel. I think when it's busy and full of punters it would feel slightly different. A large mural adorns the wall facing the entrance giving the space a little more character. Their bar follows the same form factor as a number of the their other bars, a large walk in fridge with a steel plate running the length. A generous amount of beer lines mostly focusing on pale, sour and lager styles. The setup appears to be direct draw meaning the beer travels through a much shorter length of line. Sadly upon my visit when I asked about the beers on offer the lady behind the bar told me she didn't drink and had no beer knowledge. I was poured a beer into a very dirty glass with all the bubbles clinging to the sides. I politely asked for the glass to be changed but alas a new glass brought no respite from pesky nucleation. Of course a few firm taps of the glass will help abate the bubble build up but it's still inexcusable for a new bar selling premium beer at premium prices. First impressions mean a lot . I have faith things will improve and these are just teething issues. A worthwhile visit if you find yourself in the area.
