About This Pub

Ah, Pressure Drop – it's one of those hidden gems in North London that I've grown quite fond of for a proper pint and a good natter. The beers are just fantastic; they're fresh, full of flavour, and there's a solid range to choose from, whether you're after something light or a bit more adventurous. The staff really make the place – they're so approachable and clued up, always up for sharing stories about the brews or recommending something based on your taste, which adds a lovely personal touch. Plus, with reasonable prices and the odd special offer, it's easy on the wallet too. The taproom itself has that relaxed, industrial-chic feel that's perfect for kicking back with friends, and they've got pizzas on hand for when the hunger strikes, along with fun events like brewery tours. That said, it's not without its quirks; the opening hours are a bit limited, just a few days a week, so you'll need to plan ahead. And being tucked away in an industrial area, it might not be the most convenient for a quick stop. Overall, though, if you're a beer lover, it's well worth the effort – just go with an open mind and you'll likely have a brilliant time.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The beer selection is absolutely top-notch, with fresh, delicious brews that really hit the spot – perfect for anyone keen on exploring craft options.
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to chat about the beers and help you pick something new, making every visit feel welcoming.
  • Prices are spot on and reasonable, with some great offers on Fridays and Sundays that make it even more appealing for a casual outing.
  • The taproom has a relaxed, atmospheric vibe, ideal for unwinding with mates, and they've got extras like pizza available, plus occasional tours and events to keep things interesting.
  • Free parking right outside is a bonus, especially in busy London – makes popping in hassle-free.
Cons
  • It's only open a few days a week, which can be a bit of a shame if you're planning a spontaneous trip and miss the hours.
  • The location in an industrial park isn't the most glamorous or easy to reach, so it might not suit everyone looking for a central spot.
  • The drink options are mostly focused on their own beers, with no guest varieties and limited choices for soft drinks, which could leave non-beer drinkers feeling a tad short-changed.

Out of all of the breweries in London, this by far has the best selection of beer. If you're a novice & the staff are incredibly knowledgeable & the staff in Pressure drop provide the most impeccable service. Every time I have come here, it has been a positive interaction. It's atmospheric with a fab music selection. Alex is an asset to the business along with everyone else I have met here. They share their knowledge with pride.

Excellent beers at good prices. They also have offers on Fridays and Sundays which are worth checking out. Wasn’t sure what to have but the staff were super knowledgeable around the beer they brew. Give it a visit if you’re in the area!

Fantastic brewery with a spacious and relaxed taproom on site. Easy to use online ordering (at the time of writing due to covid). You can park right outside for free which is handy. Plenty to choose from on keg and in cans (can takeaway), no guest beers though and I'd like a few more soft drink options for the kids ideally. But at the end of the day the beer is the attraction and that's great. Efficient table service, clean toilet facilities. It's a great place for great beer.

Went at 2pm. It was quiet to begin with then picked up at around 5pm. Beer is fantastic and there was a pizza van outside selling pizza for a very good price. There is also good toilet facilities which come in handy when you are consuming lots of delicious beer. Beer is 2.50 for either 2/3 or 1/2 a pint of beer. There is a 2.50 glass deposit which you can get back at the end or you can take the glass home or exchange for a bottle of their beer. Overall great day and great beer.
