About This Pub
Ah, Mother Kelly's in Stratford – it's one of those places that just feels like a proper local gem in East London. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the staff are absolute stars; they're so approachable and make every visit feel like catching up with mates. The beer selection is spot on, with plenty of options to please any ale enthusiast, and it's brilliant for a relaxed afternoon or evening, whether you're popping in for a quick pint or settling in with some work and a coffee. They've got fun things going on too, like the pub quiz on Wednesdays, which sounds like a laugh, and it's great that they welcome dogs – makes it super inclusive. On the flip side, though, I've heard a few grumbles about the beer not being properly chilled on warmer days, which could put a dampener on things if you're after that refreshing cold one. Also, it might not have the most vibrant atmosphere all the time, so if you're in the mood for something more energetic, it could fall a bit flat. Overall, it's a solid choice for a laid-back drink or bite, and with that 4.5 rating, it's clear most folks leave with a smile – just keep an eye on the weather and you'll have a top time!

Lovely spot with nice pints and pretty decent coffee & friendly staff. I sometimes stop by here to work with my laptop, as they are open to workers (which I love). I usually get coffee/toasties and then a pint at the end (to celebrate finishing whatever I was doing of course). Lovely staff too. Really chill bar-ry/cafe vibe.
Don't go on a warm day, they can't cool their beer. Went at 20:30 for a drink on a warmish day. The beer that was poured was room temp (wasn't meant to be) and was told that all the others would be the same temp (let's ignore the fact that others in my group had cold pints). Not offered a cold alternative. Comforting myself with the fact that science says warm drinks cool you down....

Do a great (but difficult) pub quiz on Wednesdays, a great and relaxed atmosphere with really friendly staff!
Nice little spot in the East Village. We received a friendly welcome from the bar staff (always a treat in London!). There's a really nice selection of beers; both the pilsner and sour we tried were great. It's dog-friendly, and the bar games are a nice touch. The only negative is that it lacks a bit of personality due to being in a relatively new building with minimal decor. The food/bar snacks looked good, but we didn't try them.
Sunnily amazing. We tried two kinds of ciders and they both tasted very nice. We had them olives and a dish of cheese. The olives were definitely large and juicy. The cheese was very nice and served with blueberry/apple jam. My daughter had a good ham and cheese toast. The staff was super kind. The prices were very reasonable. Altogether, definitely a place that I recommend.
