About This Pub
Oh, let me tell you about Memorable Pubs – it's one of those spots that just draws you in with its friendly vibe and makes you want to linger for hours. From what I've gathered from the reviews, the staff are spot on, with mentions of brilliant service that really elevates the experience, like that shout-out to Bailey behind the bar. The food generally gets high praise, especially the prawns and steak, which sound absolutely mouthwatering, and if you're planning an overnight, the rooms come across as comfy and modern, ideal for a quick escape. Plus, being right by the river Trent adds this lovely, peaceful touch that makes it even more appealing. But, fair play, it's not all flawless – there was a wee complaint about the fish and chips being a bit heavy on the batter, so you might want to steer clear if that's your go-to. All in all, it's a solid choice for a pint and a chat, and I'd say it's well worth a visit if you're in the area, as long as you keep expectations balanced.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The atmosphere is absolutely welcoming and full of community spirit, making it feel like a proper local haunt.
-
They've got a great selection of beer and wine, with delicious food options like the divine prawns and steak that really hit the spot.
-
The rooms are clean, modern, and well-presented if you're looking for a stay, perfect for a weekend getaway.
-
It's in a lovely location by the river Trent, adding to that relaxed, picturesque vibe.
Cons
-
One minor gripe is that the fish in the fish and chips can be overdone with too much batter and not enough fish, which might disappoint if you're after a lighter option.

Fabulous pub and hotel - our go to place to stay when visiting Loughborough. Only had breakfast as we were out to dinner elsewhere. Clean and modern rooms - very well presented. We will be back
Great atmosphere, good beer and wine. Only 'minor' gripe is that the fish was overdone in the fish and chips. Too much batter, not enough fish. Special shout out to Bailey behind the bar - great service.
Stayed overnight in one of the cottage rooms, comfortable and fairly well equipped. Lovely hotel lounge and dining room, and a lovely location by the river Trent.
I have about a dozen favourite pubs across the country and my only criteria is that I am made to feel welcome. The Manor House is one of these places where community spirit is strong. I always feel welcome and enjoy myself whether a full meal or just a pint.
Came here 2 weekends ago for a birthday lunch. Very good service from the start. Delicious food. The prawns and steak are divine! Will deffo visit again.
